Meeting up with old friends makes you realize how time speeds faster than imaginable. Your 20’s often become a defining age where life paths are decided. Are you the one who marries early, starts a family, travels the world, ignites your own business, or acquires more than just one masters degree? I have friends who are married with two children, practicing medicine in third world countries, running successful start-up businesses, avidly climbing the fashion industry, working in the infamous trade of banking, or just backpacking across the world. Every time we fit in catch-up sessions, I am in awe at how far each person has come, and am always reminded that the world is flowing with possibility. I guess it’s true…happiness is what you make it.

Missing Paris already…
I am nomadic at heart, so residing in one location can teeter on the boring side at times. In my single days I constantly city jumped, spending several months in Paris, Barcelona, Boston, Hong Kong, Amsterdam or anywhere else that held a certain allure. The freedom of packing every necessity into two giant suitcases and embarking to a new home always resulted in the perfect balance of excitement and nerves. The opportunity to immerse in new cultures, sample foreign cuisines, learning languages, and mastering a new city can be the most refreshing lifestyle. I relish in discovering my favourite bistro tucked in a minuscule, forgotten alley, or coming across the ideal vintage treasure haven that sells endless amounts of Chanel. Each memory is stored, and when I return to that city a nostalgic feeling of arriving home always arises. To this day, when Spring rolls around, I still yearn for the creamy hot chocolate served at a silent Parisian cafe where I used to settle for hours absorbing romantic novels and French fashion magazines. I look forward to the day when the boy and I can relocate and experience the uncovering of an unfamiliar city together. But until then I am content with perpetual travel, and not having to worry about stuffing every belonging into two suitcases.

Happy Easter!!

I’ll be relaxing with a few movies before making an extravagant dinner for the boy and I.

So happy the sun is shining and flowers are actually in bloom…now we just need the sun to provide a little more heat.

Hope you all enjoy your day!!!

After a week of traipsing through Frankfurt, Paris, and Bourgogne with the family, the boy and I were left to our own devices for the last two days of our trip. Our appetites for Parisian living had not been fully satisfied, so we booked into a minuscule boutique hotel and leisurely explored our nostalgic surroundings. Hours were spent searching for a single restaurant (where we ate on our first trip to Paris together), and unearthing new charming hangouts. I devoured the perfect French onion soup, stumbled through cobblestone alleys, splurged on lethal cocktails at The Experimental (pictured above), made constant stops for fresh strawberries and pastries, relished in afternoon naps, and remembered why I love rose on ice. It feels slightly weird to be burrowed in my own bed on a Friday night, but in a very good way.

My brother’s first visit to Paris commenced with his 24th birthday celebration. Despite the fact that we were on a family vacation, his wishes to party in style were not ignored. I pulled out my favourite backless, vintage dress and we all devoured a seafood feast before descending on Kong for exuberant celebration. The dancing did not cease until close, and we even attempted the one mile walk to VIP for further debauchery. It is safe to say memories of the night closing are scattered, and most likely inaccurate. Luckily croque monseiurs and Laduree macaroons were readily available to facilitate our extreme hangovers the next morning.
Happy Birthday Tim!!

Zara blazer, Topshop top and wedges, New Look skirt, Chloe Paddington and Miu Miu sunglasses.
PARIS: hotel dans Le Marais, abundant seafood platters, floods of champagne and celebration, party at Kong, impossible search for taxis at 4am, ridiculous hangovers, wine driven afternoons, long walks with frequent shopping stops, Chanel temporary tattoos, potent cocktails from Hotel Costes, Laduree macaroons and cappuccinos, and plenty of family bonding.
We’re now in Burgundy. Anticipating gourmet feasts, far too much wine, and early nights.

My brother’s Obey t-shirt, River Island fringed vest, New Look skirt, H&M bracelets, F21 and Asos rings.

The past few days have been spent with family in Frankfurt, dressing casually, and being absolute carnivores. I am now seriously anticipating our arrival in Paris. By Saturday afternoon I should be utilizing my minimal French skills, consuming oysters in abundance, making shopping stops at Colette and Chanel, and celebrating my brother’s 24th birthday in style. Can’t wait!

playing dress up in the boy’s storage space, failing to pack lightly for our trip, gorging on lebanese take-out, watching back to back episodes of 90210, attempting to organize a bursting wardrobe, consuming pints of green tea, and re-painting my nails a seriously bright red.

so excited to depart on another journey tomorrow. frankfurt for a few days then paris for the weekend! yay!

So captivated by Sienna Miller in Alfie. Her character, Nikki, is stunning, unique, carefree, vulnerable, and damaged all at once. I always sway towards the imperfect heroines. And of course we can’t forget the lust worthy hair, eye make-up, and style.
