Two of my favourite collections so far:
Inspired by a castaway girl on her own deserted island, Matthew Williamson created a lustworthy collection dominated by tribal influences and nature inspired prints. I was captivated by the shredded dresses, second skin metallics, and romantic finale gowns with billowing hemlines fit for a strong ocean breeze. Pieces destined for a beach editorial.
On the other side of the spectrum Richard Nicoll convinced me there may be nothing sexier than black on black separates layered in the most unconventional way. I suddenly feel a distinct craving for the thinnest sheer fabrics, sturdy leather, and girly pleated detail all crammed into a single look. A collection fit for the London girl who is always giving the boundaries that slight push.

Finally home after a friend’s weekend birthday bash. The boy and I managed to survive a long, hungover drive back to London and are finally relaxing in bed with hot soup and a snuggly dog. Be back in a few hours when I feel a little more alive…Hope all of you had a great weekend!
Eun Jeong’s presentation showcased a feminine cluster of whimsical dresses each holding it’s own unique edge. I have always lusted after Eun’s perfectly draped looks, but was pleasantly surprised to spot a burst of intricate digital prints alongside the traditional muted tones. The mixture of romantic draping, edgy prints, and distinguishing textures made for an ideal S/S collection.
Now off to watch live streaming of the Topshop Unique show! What would we do without the internet?!

Hope everyone is enjoying the first day of London Fashion Week! Day one paired with the Pope’s visit is giving the city an extra buzz, non?! Today has been slightly overwhelming for me. Just one of those weeks when my “non-fashion life” takes over and throws a stack of responsibilities right in my direction. Unfortunately I did not make it to a handful of shows, but managed to view Eun Jeong’s beautifully intricate collection and stopped by Somerset House for a quick “hello.” And to make things even better, after I captured Eun’s amazing presentation my camera decided to die. I know… just my luck … so here are a few iPhone assisted pics from my stop at LFW. I promise to take a shots of today’s outfit and post later tonight, along with my pics of from Fashion Week. Just as soon as the camera recuperates!
And on that note, I will be departing London until Sunday evening. I know… annoying “non-fashion life” go away! I will miss two days, but I promise to hit LFW will full force as soon as I return. So expect to see me around from Monday 🙂

Was finally motivated to actually get ready for the first time since holiday, although I think my face may have enjoyed the make-up free few days. Spent the day running errands, meeting new friends, and stumbling upon this deserted church for a few mandatory outfit shots. Off to the gym now… also a first since our return … wish me luck :-/

Being a Notting Hill resident means I have access to a treasure trove of vintage right on my doorstep. I can admit to being lured by intricate laces and silks, the softest over worn leather, or a coveted quilted Chanel on a daily basis. But after browsing much of the local selection and clicking through dedicated vintage sites, I am often left disappointed by a surprisingly hefty price tag. Which brings me to Make Lemonade, an absolutely delightful online boutique owned by the very sweet fellow blogger, Emete. Her carefully selected collection boasts an affordable price range of £2-50, and each item is carefully wrapped and posted with her personal homemade lemonade recipe. Life often spirals me through moods of anticipation, excitement, serenity, and disappointment. It can be tiring to live by the rules, meet expectations, or tread lightly on the sensitive, but after moments of exhiliration, storms of defeat, heaps of frustration, and locating a place of complete contentment I feel it is always best to just be yourself. Live for you and those that you love, challenge every burdening boundary, learn to laugh at life, and stand for what you believe.

I’m still in hiding, spending ninety percent of my time in pajamas, living vicariously through everyone’s NYFW pics, and anticipating the descent of London Fashion Week. Literally have only stepped out for groceries and to survey the ultra popular sale taking place at the Joseph across the road. Normal activities will return come Monday.
