(Burberry Facebook page and Style.com)

I know I’m a little late in joining the Burberry swooning bandwagon, but I couldn’t resist posting these backstage shots.  And like everyone else, I adored the studded bikers, mixed animal prints, leather and patent trenches, and the backless, ruffled minidress of my dreams.  I wonder if the boy would ever consider wearing the men’s studded jacket…

Topshop jumper, hat, and boots, House of Holland tight, Georg Jensen pendant.

Slouchy knitwear and jumpers are going to dominate my wardrobe this winter.  Wearing this cozy piece causes a distinct urge to curl up in the fetal position and nap.  Seeing as this is usually inappropriate behaviour, I can predict a rather hazardous/sleepy season in my near future.

The boy and I spent the entire weekend curled up in bed, cooking satisfying comfort food, and catching up on a million movies we never saw in the cinema.  Our heating has officially been ignited, our bronzed tans are fast fading, and my sleepwear has transitioned from AA romper to Uniqlo cashmere.  Hello Autumn, I cannot wait to meet your falling leaves.

The two most amazing collections from Milan Fashion Week S/S 2011.

Whimsical sheer wisps of silk, lacing in abundance, romantic prints, floral accents, recurring crochet, and messy bedhead to top it all off.  Sexy with a girlish twist.  Everything I crave in a spring wardrobe.

Amazing accessories from London Fashion Week’s NewGen exhibition.  Who doesn’t love style that can double as weapons and armour?  All a girl needs when living in the big city 🙂

Dannijo’s new collection, inspired by “The Female Warrior” descent from celestial star “Bellatrix,” conveyed a edgy chic style which transcends through all their coveted designs.  I was lucky enough to attend their first fashion week presentation at Mayfair’s Scream Gallery to see the Warrior Princesses in reality.  The pieces were beautifully displayed on the girls’ cosmic inspired models, perched delicately upon a massive fantastical cloud.  A dreamlike atmosphere carried through the entire presentation, while guests daintily enjoyed fluffs of cotton candy and umbrella garnished cocktails.  The armour reminiscent jewellery was heftily adorned with abundant gems and intricate chain detail.  I would to love wear the chunky neckpieces with a sheer white tee and killer footwear.  Click below and pick up these Dannijo rings for under £200!

Ashish never fails to throw a party and this season was no different.  With a pop songstress littered front row ( I spotted Marina from Marina and the Diamonds, Pixie Lott, Paloma Faith, and my personal favourite, Diana Vickers) the excitement was evident before the old school hip hop played across the catwalk.  The collection, appropriately named Rodeo Drive, brought a playful hybrid of cowgirl meets Native American meets kitschy Americana all dipped in a sea of sequins.  Models enthusiatically strutted to the catchy beat, and appeared to be enjoying the show as much as the attendees.  I have always been a sequin fan, never expected be captivated by a leopard print, sequin evening gown, and have found myself determined to snatch the one shoulder leopard mini.  I am sure most left the show with a smile, and maybe even wondering if it’s time to pull out those trucker hats again.

Mark Fast is in my opinion one of the hottest designers to come from London Fashion Week.  I eagerly await his sexy, cutting edge collections each season, and was definitely not disappointed with his first stand-alone show.  Wispy fringing, acid brights, dominatrix style platforms, cut out shoulders, and a breathtaking maxi fit for a Ibizan bride.  I almost screamed when the opportunity came to paw the designs in person at the Newgen Exhibition.

Sorry we didn’t get more images at the exhibit, but seriously a lot of people crammed into a small space…hope the Style.com pics will do 😉
