We absolutely loved staying in SOWAKA, a luxury ryokan style hotel located in historic Kyoto. The traditional building dates back 110 years and was formerly a working restaurant. The classic property is located at the heart of Gion surrounded by cultural sites and picturesque streets.  You’ll find serene shrines, cute boutiques, delicious little eateries, and artisanal markets all on your front step. Our sleek and spacious guestroom was perfect for a family of four.  We made full use of the comfortable lounge and decadent bath and our children enjoyed having sliding screen doors which separated their sleeping area.  Gion Loka, the in house restaurant, serves meticulously presented and delicious Japanese and Western breakfasts each morning and the Kaiseki fine dining experience was one of our favorite dinners in Kyoto.  The luxury hotel values Japanese tradition and etiquette while adding modern western comforts to the suites ensuring a five star stay. A perfect choice for a luxury stay in Kyoto.

Our first time in Sapporo over the summer and we still loved all the vibes.  We tayed at the modern SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL and couldn’t believe those incredible views from our suite and the panoramic roof terrace. The Q Suite is ideal for families with a large separate bedroom, dining area, and cozy lounge.  Located within a shopping center the hotel offers optimal location, parking facilities, and accommodating service.  We were within easy walking distance to all our favourite shops and eats and of course the buzzing nights. Breakfast was one of our favourites during our entire trip and with Executive Lounge access we had refreshments and Spa access throughout our stay. I highly recommend Sapporo for those that want to experience a less touristy Japanese city. The produce and food is unbeatable and they honestly are the most welcoming locals despite language barriers.

The Kahala, located just 30 minutes outside of Tokyo in Yokohama, is a fun filled family destination.  We loved the grand Hawaiian themed hotel complete with spacious and modern suites, luxurious spa and swimming pool, and impeccable service. We were within short walking distance to all of Yokohama’s iconic sights including the amusement park, Cup Noodle Museum, and beautiful harbour.  We highly recommend the traditional course dinner at Hanagoyomi and the decadent afternoon tea service.  A perfect choice for visiting the buzzing family friendly town.

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is the perfect tranquil sanctuary at the heart of buzzing Tokyo. Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives never fails to give our family the most memorable stays.
