As the weather cools down, coats become necessary, and the leaves commence their colour change, I love nothing more than early evenings in a Notting Hill pub. My top picks are by far The Westbourne and The Cow, located in extreme close proximity, and both puppy friendly. In the summer months we avidly avoid these haunts due to an overflow of tourists, and ridiculous wait for a drink and table (it seems to be everyone in London’s favourite pub on a hot sunny day). But last night was the first in a season of pub evenings, when most patrons reside in Notting Hill, tables only require a two minute wait, and the dog even manages to score a seat and water bowl. I am happy to admit a preference to cozy Autumn evenings over a scorching London summer day. Save the heat for the beach, and let the cold commence!
