Little Green Sheep
Baby sleeping arrangements are a big decision we have been trying to work out. We have come to the conclusion that keeping our options open is a good way to go, as I am still unsure how I will feel once the little one arrives. Will I want her right beside me each and every night, or would it be better for her to be in the next room in a cot of her own? We will have full time help, so I am not sure if I will be doing all the night feeds or maybe alternate nights with the nanny? Both the boy and I came to the conclusion that she will have her cot as well as a moses basket next to our bed. That way we can make the decision when the time comes. When choosing a moses baskets, I knew immediately I wanted a natural look and organic bedding and materials. After serveral hours of perusing different sites and comparing reviews, these two were my top choices.
Little Merry Fellows: I love the look and feel of this brand. Natural and organic products with a distinct bohemian allure. I fell instantly for the poetry inscribed and heart shaped receiving blankets all contructed from organic materials. The beautiful Lafayette Moses Basket set would fit perfectly in a field of wild flowers and comes with a fluffy organic faux shearling base mattress. Everything looks delicate and cozy, perfect for a pampered little girl. They don’t ship to China/HK yet, but if you have friends or family in the USA maybe you could go that route? We are getting ours here via a separate shipping service.
Little Green Sheep: This British brand comes highly recommended by several magazines and tv shows. They fuse practicality with organic materials and great service. You can find custom fit organic mattresses for your moses basket as well as fitted or flat sheets made from 100% certified organic cotton. Everything is chemical free and has a great natural look. Their Organic Moses mattress is handmade in Wales and safe for babies will allergies and eczema. I also love their cute, simple sleepwear sets. The best part is they have next day delivery in the UK and deliver to China and HK.
Let me know if you guys have any recommendations for organic bedding and clothing.

Just a quick hello to introduce you guys to Baby by Christing C. For those of you who follow me on Fashion Hedonism, you’ll know I’m a fashion blogger/online fashion boutique owner turned Mommy to be. I wanted a little space where I can share all I have learned on this journey, and the useful tips I have picked up on the way. Expecting in HK is an experience of it’s own, from picking the right doctor and hospital to where exactly can you find those products you need to prepare for the little one. I must confess many sleepless nights have been dedicated to locating that perfect organic moses basket or comparing belly wrap reviews online. I’ll be sharing all my finds, product reviews, and all other things bump related here. Only two months left until our little girl arrives. Can’t wait!

We are off on another trip tomorrow. This time just a little hop away to Taiwan where most of my family happily reside. The boy is looking forward to endless local eats and I can’t wait to browse the petit and sweet boutiques and cafes. This will most likely be our last fly away vacay before the baby arrives. Less than 3 months until I pop. Can’t wait 🙂

Current products I can’t live without
Palmer’s Coconut Body Butter: Trying to keep my ever expanding baby bump well hydrated and stretch mark free is a job in itself. I have always moisturised twice a day religiously, but have switched up products since finding out about our new arrival. I love Palmer’s body butter. After using various pricey brands, this is my absolute favourite. The smell reminds me of beach holidays and the formula is thick but quickly absorbed. My skin is constantly silky smooth and I will definitely use this after pregnancy too.
Bio Oil: This wonder product is recommended by everyone for keeping stretch marks at bay so of course I had to purchase. I don’t love the smell and would prefer a more luxe oil, but I guess the super ingredients get the job done. I slather it over my bump every night before bed and still no stretch marks at the start of my third trimester. Fingers crossed it keeps working.
Kiel’s Rosa Arctica: This face cream feels clean and luxurious. A little goes a very long way,so definitely great value for money. I use it as my night cream, and my skin is constantly smooth and glowing. It’s perfect for windy winter days and frequent flyers who suffer from plane air parched skin.
Kiel’s Superbly Smoothing Argan Hair Pak: I need to restock on this soon. By far the best hair mask I have tried. My hair is so thick, long, and chemically damaged but this makes it manageable and silky soft. I often apply it to wet hair after my shower and leave on overnight if I feel my hair need extra pampering.
Nivea Fruity Shine: Smells and tastes delicious. I keep one next to my bed to keep my lips kissable at all times. Even adds a slight red tint to give your makeup less face a bit of colour.
Pukka Three Cinnamon Tea: Not a beauty product, but I drink this constantly. So delicious. Herbal teas are my obsession of the moment and makes me sip warm water all day long.
Nars Tinted Moisturizer: I am not a fan of foundation or anything heavy on my skin. I usually stick to concealer and powder, but in the winter months when my skin feels a bit pale and delicate, I glide a layer of this on for extra coverage. It’s very sheer and feels like a light day cream. Wouldn’t cover any blemishes or spots, but does give a slight glow.
Marc Jacobs Honey: Sweet and refreshing. Makes me feel clean and light which is nice as HK starts to get humid again.
Loreal Miss Manga Mascara: I love volume when it comes to mascara, and am not really concerned with length at all. This mascara makes your lashes very dark and thick. Perfect for my smokey eyes.

Been lazily spending the holiday hours stuffing ourselves with satisfying roast dinners and catching up beside sleep inducing open fires and duvet abundant beds. The weather is just frightening enough to keep us happily snuggled indoors enjoying good company paired with a million cups of English Breakfast tea. I often forget how fast paced cities can make you forget little pleasures, like chilly walks, silent corners in deserted pubs, afternoons which aren’t littered with phone calls and messages, and just simple fresh air. The boy and I are on full on break mode before we head up to London to ring in 2014.

Facing the final week before Christmas holidays begin, and we are packing it with a simple mixture of running around town and last minute get togethers. I’m fully immersed in the Christmas spirit which involves forgetting the gym exists and reconnecting with my chocolate cravings. Starbucks festive beverages and happy inducing red cups are a daily must have, and anything warm and cozy has been put at the forefront of my wardrobe. Heels have been set aside for the moment in favour of rain stomping boots, and I’m still having dreams of snow on the 25th. Fingers crossed.

Sorry for disappearing. We had a quickie, jam packed trip to NYC which ended with a 16 hour flight home and me sleeping for about 3 days straight. Monday is looming so I promise to be back to my productive self. The end of a month long, carefree trip is hard to shake from your bones, makes me want to take things just a little less seriously. Catching up with old friends and seeing myself in new light made even more clear the changes that have taken place in the last few years. I’m not quite the same, not as frivolous, but definitely more sure of who I am. It’s been easier to tune out the negative and revel in all that I have to be thankful about in my life. The world around you will always have their own opinions about your life and how you should live it, despite barely knowing who you are today, but you don’t always have to listen. Just smile, nod, and have another glass of champagne 😉

Florida has induced some lazy behaviour and the boy and I have done nothing more than lounge poolside, indulging in cocktails, and spending quality time with Dad. After a long road trip and a few questionable motel stays, it was nice to settle into the luxuirous W Ft Lauderdale for a bit of pampering. Waking up for sunrises, and catching up with old friends is just a little extra icing on the cake. Heading to NYC soon, but not before one more top up of my now very deep tan.

C. by Christing C. dress and cardigan.
Topshop hat and Asos boots
Jewish deli fare from Wise Sons Delicatessen and oysters from Hog Island Oyster Co
Almost three weeks into our days on the road. Twisting through unknown streets, exploring bucket list worthy landmarks, and gorging on food that can only be described as heaven. It’s important to feel lucky and the boy and I are soaking up every carefree moment. We are pausing to enjoy each laughter filled smile, unexpected kiss, and warming ray of sunshine. Quick weekend getaways may never be enough again. The best type of trips are those you can afford to waste time worth wasting. Off to have our last night in San Francisco before escaping to Florida tomorrow.

wish i could stay forever this young was last modified: April 5th, 2015 by ChristingC
We took the often adrenaline spiking drive along the Pacific Coast Highway and have landed in San Francisico. I am becoming more addicted to being ocean adjacent, and am even growing accustomed to the slightly freezing breeze that accompanies this welcoming State. It has been awhile since I’ve been in the USA without dwelling in a big city, and am finding small towns, minuscule diners, and early closing hours more foreign by day. Glad to be playing in a bustling city again and treating my taste buds and closet to what is on offer.
Get my new favourite layering piece here. This white vest has gotten me through every chilly evening and is even light enough to wear in sunny weather when you want to partake in Autumn dress up.
