Topshop tops and boots, New Looks skirt, Low Luv necklace from My-Wardrobe.

After an eleven hour flight and only three hours of sleep, the boy and I were finally greeted by Hong Kong’s buzzing atmosphere. Without a moment’s rest, we were immediately swept away to a family dinner, followed by plenty of wine and music, which later led to early a.m. World Cup action in an insanely lively, humidity drenched outdoor club. I was only allowed a happy reunion with my bed after several bottles of whiskey and a late night McDonald’s snack. Needless to say I am beyond the point of exhaustion, but we have plenty of time to rest during our three weeks here.

I’ve been sticking to light layers due to the heat and humidity, but will be pulling out fun outfits for evenings in heavily air conditioned restaurants!

More later!!

xoxo

Pinko top, Topshop shorts, random bangles, Rolex watch, Miu Miu sunglasses.

Just a simple outfit I wore to picnic in the park. Departing tomorrow for Hong Kong. I love the anticipation before a big trip. Spending the day cleaning and packing. Can’t wait to be on that plane 🙂

Theory top from My-Wardrobe, Bershka shorts, Zara shoes, H&M hat and necklace.

I generally lean towards pale tones and find white on white serenely appealing when the sun shines. Putting together this outfit was probably the highlight of my day. Do you ever have moments when every random situation turns into a disaster? In future the boy and I will do our best to keep valuables in a safe but memorable location, not lock ourselves out of the flat, and remember to purchase the one thing we went out to buy. Hopefully tomorrow will not only be brighter but easier. Until then…

H&M dress, Topshop boots, Versace leather jacket.
The boy and I spent the entirety of Saturday celebrating our anniversary. We kicked off with a mini shopping session in Knightsbridge, feasted on steak sandwiches, wine, and kisses at our local pub, then headed home to prepare for the evening’s festivities. After a quick nap and musings over our sparkling purchases, I slipped on my new H&M dress for dinner at a minuscule, but romantic Japanese eatery. Our seats were perfectly placed in a private booth, and we slowly devoured an assortment of sashimi, fragrant grilled seafood, and buttery sweet miso black cod. The staff were sweet and welcoming as was their wide selection of sake and sochu. Only after our appetites were satisfied and every other patron had departed, did we meet the cold and busy street to find our next party. The night ended at a random location for a friend’s birthday , and a seriously late night. A perfect way to celebrate.

H&M cardigan, AA tank, Kate Moss for Topshop shorts, Ashish for Topshop wedges.

Quiet evenings, a bottle of wine, half a pizza, early bedtimes. The best kind of weeknight.
Today will be a World Cup day. I’m not a huge football fan, but the boy seems to be pretty passionate about supporting England and USA, so we’ll be cheering them on at a suitable Notting Hill venue. I am happy the only other sporting event that mildly interests him, besides World Cup, is tennis.

Chloe jacket, Topshop boutique tank, AA shorts, H&M necklace, Miu Miu sunglasses, Zara heels.
I actually managed to make my way into the very busy Oxford Circus yesterday for a meeting over rose petal tea and sugary sweet macaroons at a delightfully cute spot in Liberty. After a fun chat about blogging, fashion, and adventures in shopping, I reunited with the boy for some happy hour fun. We munched on burgers, sipped half price cocktails, and enjoyed the breezy yet sunny afternoon. It is so hard to avoid drink dates and parties when the weather is so agreeable. Healthy detox can happen when the rain returns 😉

Asos sequin top and boots, Topshop shorts, H&M bracelets, Grey Ant sunnies.

A splash of sequins can hold the power to brighten any boring day. Do you own any pieces that make you instantly happier as soon as you pull it on? Whether it’s sentimental value or my general love for a statement piece, I have several wardrobe items I turn to when I’m feeling slightly lackluster or just need a quick smile. Every girl needs “that” pair of painful but beautiful heels, a “feeling bloated today” dress, the “i always look skinny in these” jeans, and a “i wear this when i miss you” cashmere sweater that holds the faint scent of your boy. I have been slowly accumulating my collection for years.
