Maxi dress courtesy of Love, Asos boots, Zara jacket, H&M feather necklace, bag courtesy of Kipling, Miss Selfridge headband.

Sunday’s outfit was infitely comfortable, and ideal for the random rainy/sunny weather that has been typical of London. Just over a week until I am in the South of France 😉 The fact that I’m embarking on a beach holiday and also craving Autumn/Winter fashion has caused my shopping habits to be a little more schizophrenic than usual. Luckily dresses and boots are always a safe way to go. Off to scour a hopefully deserted shopping mall…and if any of you are looking for an online bargain have you checked out The Outnet’s pop-up clearance sale that started this morning?! 80% off a Marc Jacobs handbag anyone?? Hurry…click below to shop!!!

Alexander Wang dress worn over AA mesh dress, Topshop headband, H&M feather necklace, Christian Louboutin shoes, Chanel tattoos, and bag courtesy of Kipling.

I found myself so exhausted yesterday I was forced to take a 20 minute nap before meeting a friend. Power naps are surprisingly effective, but not when it leaves you five minutes of getting ready time before running out the door on a Saturday night. In these situations an oversized sweater, lashings of eyeliner, and a trusty headband can work wonders.

American Apparel dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Topshop hat, Low Luv necklace from my-wardrobe.com.

My attempts to convince myself summer will soon end has unintentionally swayed me to dabble in a habitual black palette. I fell in love with this reliable dress all over again last night. Often the satisfyingly simple and undisturbed are the most appealing. The boy and I decided to return to the intimately familiar for our Thursday dinner date. Notting Hill can veer into a haunting quiet mood as carnival nears, so it was a relief to dine in a friendly environment. We consistently rely on The Clarendon for delicious simple food, romantic candlelight, and the hum of a relaxed soundtrack. I devoured my scallops and steak with great enthusiasm, and was elated to sample their super rich chocolate ice cream. Our night closed with a rain filled wander home and the sanctuary of a cozy bed.

I hope everyone is excited for the weekend 😉

Topshop hat and shorts, vintage blouse.

I’m not really feeling myself today. Think I may be suffering from cabin fever and am craving a little time away from home, preferably on a tropical beach. On a optimistic note, I’m discovering my inner chef and have made some seriously yummy dishes lately. Maybe I’ll practice my presentation skills and showcase my kitchen experiments here sometime.

Happy Wednesday!

I have spent most of this weekend chilling with the boy, baking, cooking, and partaking in various romantic meals and movies. I promise I will abandon my American Apparel romper tomorrow, actually put together an outfit and mingle with the real world.
Until then…
xoxo

Zara jacket, vintage shirt, boots from boutique in Hong Kong, Topshop hat, top, and shorts.

Default rainy day outfit. I am feeling so uninspired to participate in anything other than being cozied up with the boy and dog. My mind is running with thoughts of our upcoming holidays. Summers should be reserved on the beach with suitably scorching weather and plenty of rose wine, it just doesn’t seem right any other way.

Sportmax cardigan frommy-wardrobe.com, AA shorts, Zara blouse, Rolex watch, Topshop boots, H&M feather earrings.

I am slightly worried the British summer is mild enough to allow the usage of this cozy cardigan on a random August day, but it is hard to complain when I’m wrapped in the plushest layering piece I have ever worn. Who could live without seasonal transition pieces in their wardrobe? The boy and I have been laying low lately, spending more time engrossing in films and books than socialising. We all need a break sometime…

TFNC dress, Asos boots, H&M necklace, Gucci clutch.

Our attempts at a romantic meal in what seemed to be an appealing bistro quickly turned from slightly awkward to utterly unsatisfying. The boy and I are far from picky, but when the food is nearly inedible, service moves at a literal snail pace, and the atmosphere is eerily silent, we can find no other option than to leave. I am certain this will be the last time we sample French cuisine surrounded by Moroccan decor, on a remote road (yes, we have done this twice). We ended the night on a optimistic note, hurrying home to erase the nightmare meal with a selection of candles and wine. Don’t worry, our Sunday lunch will be consumed at the usual spots to ensure a better experience 🙂

Hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for visiting!!

xoxo
