Our stay at Aubrey Hotel Boutique in Santiago turned out to be one of the highlights of our family trip to Chile. Tucked away in the colourful Bellavista neighbourhood, the hotel felt like a little sanctuary in the middle of the city. We loved being just a short stroll from the funicular up to Cerro San Cristóbal, perfect for a morning adventure with the kids before retreating back to the calm of the hotel.

We stayed in two of the garden suites, and they were just beautiful. High ceilings, original architectural details, and elegant touches made the rooms feel special, while still being cozy enough for us to really relax as a family. The thoughtful modern comforts, like the jacuzzi bathtub, were a real treat, especially after a long day of walking around Santiago’s markets and museums.

The kids were absolutely thrilled with the rooftop pool. Floating in the water while gazing out at the neighbourhood rooftops was such a memorable moment. For us parents, it was also the perfect spot to sit back with a drink in hand and soak up the afternoon sun.

We also fell in love with the public spaces at Aubrey. From quiet mornings with coffee in the leafy courtyard, to late afternoons sipping cocktails in the cozy lounge, the hotel always had a little corner that felt just right. The gardens and terraces were especially inviting and we often found ourselves lingering there longer than planned, just enjoying the calm atmosphere before heading back out to explore.

In short, Aubrey Hotel Boutique felt less like a hotel and more like a welcoming home base, full of charm, warmth, and character. It was the perfect balance of family-friendly comfort and grown-up elegance, and we would go back in a heartbeat.

When we planned our trip to Buenos Aires, I knew we wanted a place that would make it easy to explore the city but also feel like a comfortable home base for our family. The Buenos Aires Marriott turned out to be exactly that and then some.

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were kindly welcomed and enveloped in the grand property.  But it was our guestroom that really won us over. Spacious enough for all of us to spread out without tripping over each other’s suitcases, it had big windows that framed views of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. In the mornings, I would sip my coffee while the kids pointed out the historic buildings below, like having our own private postcard view.

The location could not have been more perfect. We were just steps away from historic sites, bustling plazas, and some of the city’s best cafés. We could wander to the Obelisco in minutes, explore nearby theatres, or hop in a taxi for a short ride to Palermo’s parks. Being so central meant we could come back to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again, which was a lifesaver with little ones in tow.

One of our favourite parts of the stay was the food. The hotel’s restaurant served up fresh, flavorful dishes that pleased everyone, from empanadas and grilled meats to pasta for the kids. The club lounge became our go to spot for a quiet snack break or an evening treat. The view from up there, especially at sunset, was breathtaking.

What really made the difference though was the service. Every staff member we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From offering tips on family friendly activities to arranging a taxis and reservations, they seemed to anticipate what we might need before we even asked.

By the time we checked out, we all agreed that the Buenos Aires Marriott had given us the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and care. It was not just a place to sleep, it was part of what made our Buenos Aires adventure so memorable.

If your family is looking for a place in Buenos Aires that feels both special and comfortable, the Vain Boutique Hotel in Palermo is a wonderful find. Housed in a beautifully restored early 20th-century townhouse, it has all the charm of old Buenos Aires paired with a fresh modern twist.

The rooms are bright and airy with plenty of space for spreading out after a day of adventures. We loved the floor-to-ceiling windows and sleek interiors. The minimalist design is calming, but you will also spot thoughtful little details that make it feel welcoming rather than cold.

Mornings here start with a generous continental breakfast of fresh croissants, breads, pastries, fruit, and made to order eggs served in a light-filled dining space. For families, this means everyone can fuel up before heading out without the hassle of finding a café.

The rooftop terrace is a favourite spot for winding down together. We loved relaxing with sunset views and the plunge pool is an ideal addition.

Location wise, we were just a short stroll from Palermo’s leafy parks which are perfect for a picnic or playground time, trendy boutiques, and cosy cafés.

A cozy, affordable, family friendly choice for families visiting Buenos Aires.

On our recent trip to Buenos Aires, we stayed at the Hilton Buenos Aires in Puerto Madero and it quickly became more than just a place to sleep. With its striking modern architecture and prime spot by the docks, it was the perfect base for exploring the city while still feeling like a peaceful retreat.

The lobby is breathtaking, with soaring glass ceilings, sunlight streaming in, and a sleek contemporary style. What made the biggest impression though was the service. From the moment we arrived, the team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with sweeping views of the city skyline and Rio Dique. It felt luxurious yet still cozy, the kind of space you look forward to coming back to after a day of wandering San Telmo’s cobblestone streets or exploring the parks of Puerto Madero.

We enjoyed relaxed dinners at Alberto’s Lobby Bar where the hummus and chicken became family favorites. The heated rooftop pool was another highlight and a huge hit with the kids, especially on warm afternoons.

The location could not be better. We were within walking distance of many of the city’s top sights, yet tucked away just enough to escape the busy streets when we wanted to slow down.

The Hilton Buenos Aires gave us the best of both worlds, a central base for adventures and a quiet haven to return to each night.

If you’re dreaming of a place that combines modern luxury, genuine warmth, and a location that puts Buenos Aires at your feet, Hotel Madero is exactly that. Nestled in the chic Puerto Madero neighborhood, this five-star gem became our perfect home base for exploring the city’s history, culture, and charm.

For our stay, we had a spacious suite for ourselves and a twin room right next door for the kids, both with their own private balconies. That little detail made such a difference. Each morning, we would step outside to watch the city slowly wake up over coffee, while the kids plotted the day’s adventures from their own balcony next door.

The suite itself felt more like a stylish apartment than a hotel room, complete with a cozy living area, a dining table big enough for family snacks or a round of card games, and huge windows that filled the space with natural light. The kids’ room was equally comfortable, with plenty of space for them to sprawl out and unwind after long days of sightseeing.

From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. The team at reception greeted us like old friends, the concierge shared thoughtful tips for family friendly activities, and housekeeping kept everything sparkling without ever feeling intrusive.

Location wise, it could not be better. We were an easy walk from the waterfront promenade, the iconic pink façade of Casa Rosada, the colorful San Telmo Market, and countless parks and plazas where the kids could run off some energy. Whether we were in the mood for history, food, shopping, or just soaking up local life, it was all within reach.

We also made a point to dine at Red Resto, the hotel’s own restaurant, which quickly became a favorite. Think Argentine classics such as melty grilled provoleta, perfectly seared steak, and fresh seafood served with a modern twist. Even the kids found plenty to love.

And when we were not out exploring, we were enjoying the hotel’s rooftop spa, indoor pool, and gym, all with sweeping city views. The pool was especially popular with the kids, while we loved unwinding in the spa after a busy day.

Hotel Madero struck the perfect balance for us: luxurious without being stuffy, family friendly without sacrificing style. It is the kind of place where you can start your day with a sunrise coffee on your balcony, spend hours exploring one of the world’s most vibrant cities, and come home to a space that feels every bit as welcoming as it does indulgent.

We arrived in Buenos Aires and immediately felt the energy of the city, especially in Palermo, a neighborhood known for its leafy streets, boutique shops, vibrant cafés, and relaxed elegance. For our first few nights, we stayed at Be Jardin Escondido by Coppola, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect welcome to Argentina.

Tucked away behind unassuming walls, the hotel truly lives up to its name – a “hidden garden.” With only seven rooms, it offers an intimate and serene atmosphere that feels more like a private residence than a hotel. The lush garden courtyard, cozy common areas, and rooftop terrace create a sense of calm that’s rare in a big city. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated – from the luxurious linens to the vintage film posters and Coppola memorabilia.

The hotel is set in the former home of director Francis Ford Coppola, who stayed here while filming Tetro. Guests can peek into the room where he wrote, explore the spaces he loved, and even sit on the terrace where he found creative inspiration on warm afternoons. It’s a special experience, especially for film lovers or anyone seeking a connection to the creative pulse of the city.

Our cozy and stylish guestrooms were perfect for a family stay – located side by side, with private balconies overlooking the garden, offering a quiet spot for morning coffee or an evening wind-down. Mornings began with a delicious à la carte breakfast featuring fresh local ingredients and some of the best artisanal coffee we’ve had on our trip.

Palermo itself is the ideal base, walkable, full of character, and packed with great restaurants and parks for kids to explore. Be Jardin Escondido offered us the perfect blend of culture, comfort, and charm – a beautiful introduction to Buenos Aires for the whole family.

During our recent family adventure to São Paulo, we stayed at Gran Estanplaza Berrini, and it turned out to be the ideal home base for exploring the city. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a touch of old-world charm that set the tone for the rest of our stay.

We instantly fell in love with our spacious suite, which gave us plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The kids had space to spread out with their toys, read books, and just be kids, while we could unwind after long, exciting days in the city. The classic Brazilian decor, complete with wooden accents and vintage touches, gave the space a cozy and elegant feel — it felt less like a hotel and more like a refined home away from home.

One of the true highlights of our stay was breakfast, which became a cherished part of our daily routine. Served in a beautiful, grand dining room with high ceilings and plenty of natural light, the buffet was both generous and delicious. There were fresh tropical fruits, warm breads and pastries, eggs, cheeses, and even traditional Brazilian favorites — something for everyone, including our picky little eater. What made it extra special was the live piano music played each morning. It added a lovely, calming touch that made breakfast feel like a celebration rather than just a meal.

The hotel’s location in the Berrini neighborhood also worked really well for us. It was safe, walkable, and conveniently close to shops, cafes, and parks. After a day of visiting museums, trying street food, and exploring different neighborhoods, it was such a relief to come back to a quiet, comfortable space that truly welcomed families.

Gran Estanplaza Berrini combined classic elegance with modern comforts and gave us the perfect landing spot for our first trip to São Paulo. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again — it made our trip that much more memorable.

Tucked away in the magical town of Trancoso, Villa Mediterrâneo offers the perfect blend of laid-back bohemian charm and thoughtful luxury. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in a sense of calm and hospitality that carried through our entire stay. Our guest room was tranquil and artfully designed — a serene haven filled with curated touches that celebrated both Mediterranean and Brazilian aesthetics.

The villa’s pool area was a highlight — framed by lush gardens and shaded lounging areas, it provided the perfect space to unwind after a morning at the beach or exploring the Quadrado. Mornings began with delicious homemade breakfasts, served in a sun-dappled courtyard — fresh tropical fruit, warm baked goods, and rich Brazilian coffee to ease into the day.

The attentive staff made our stay truly effortless. Available around the clock, they helped us arrange everything from taxi transfers and beach club reservations to recommending unforgettable cultural experiences — from capoeira shows to artisan markets. Whether you’re traveling as a family or a couple, Villa Mediterrâneo is a peaceful oasis that offers a true taste of Trancoso’s soulful, slow-living spirit. We left feeling recharged, inspired, and already dreaming about our return.

We couldn’t have loved Trancoso more — it truly stole our hearts. Tucked away on the coast of Bahia, Brazil, this picturesque seaside town feels like a hidden gem. With its cobblestone streets, colorful colonial houses, and the charming Quadrado (town square) at its center, Trancoso blends rustic charm with understated sophistication. Each day brought something new: strolls along the golden coastline, discovering local artisan boutiques, and savoring fresh seafood with views of the Atlantic.

Our stay at the beautiful Etnia Casa Hotel was the highlight of our trip. Nestled just a short walk from the Quadrado, Etnia is a lush, tropical retreat that blends bohemian luxury with Brazilian soul. We stayed in the two-bedroom house — a spacious, beautifully designed escape with thoughtful details and serene privacy. The rustic-meets-stylish interiors, tranquil swimming pool, and lush gardens created the perfect setting to unwind as a family.

The homecooked breakfasts each morning were a treat — fresh fruit, pão de queijo, and regional specialties — all made with love. But above all, it was the warm and attentive team at Etnia who made us feel not like guests, but like family. It was an idyllic and deeply enriching cultural escape.
