Rainy Sundays can often be the best kind.  We woke to the delicate ring of raindrops and knew immediately today would be cancelled in favour of cuddles in bed and duvet picnics.  A quick supermarket dash will be our only outing, where we made sure to stock up on plenty of indoor camping supplies.  This includes chocolates, dumplings, and lots of tea.  Lets hope Monday stays just a little further away while we doze for the next 24 hours.

Montmartre Sweater, One Teaspoon shorts, H&M hat, and Zara boots.

The boy and I are playing with some exciting news and buzzing around planning for the holiday season.  December is almost the most fun but equally stressful and tiring.  I can’t wait for the end of the month when we get a chance to sit down to a few quiet meals.  I plan on treating myself to plenty of holiday food and of course a last minute holiday.  We are thinking NYE in Paris.  Sounds dreamy no?  Hope you guys are loving December too.

Market find slouchy sweater layered over the C. by Christing C.  Le Marais Dress.  H&M boots.

Some weekends it’s fun to avoid any trace of glitz and glam over flat beat up boots, flimsy fabrics, and cozy knitwear.  I love taking long walks with the boy and playing around with layers in the lightly cool weather.  No Monday blues here.  We have an exciting week ahead so I’ll keep you guys updated 🙂

MinkPink cardigan, Moussy top, C. by Christing C. Oxford Skirt, Carin Wester furry backpack, Steve Madden booties.
The best part about cooler temperatures that actually don’t reach cold standards means you can play with layers and textures without actually risking any effect on your body temperature.  When else can you pair a furry backpack with open toe booties?  I was in a playful mood last night, and excited to roam the streets with the boy.  We sipped on happy hour prosecco, looked on enviously at fresh pizzas while resisting the urge to munch before dinner, and ended up at a Spanish feast to complete the night.  We have both been taking exercise pretty seriously lately, which has resulted in lots of complaints mixed in with a sense of accomplishment.  I still can’t believe the word “Christmas” keeps popping up in conversation.  Is it really that close by?

I’ve been wearing this top non-stop.  It’s so easy to add extra kick to a monotone outfit, and perfect for beginners mixing prints.  It paired perfectly over a bikini during our beach holiday and now works with anything black leather back in the city.  We’ve just added it online so make sure to hop over the Christing C. and get your own.

This weekend was all about brunching and early bed times.  I’m kinda confused as to how it passed so quickly, but I guess sleeping takes up a lot of time.  The boy and I are learning to take time out just for us, something we have become pretty addicted to since our month on the road.  Hong Kong can be incredibly fast paced, but there are always pockets of serenity where you can hide and disappear for a few days.

  Wearing C. by Christing C.

Hi all! Happy Friday.  Are you guys as excited as I am for extra sleep and long brunches.  This week has taken a toll on the boy and I, so we think we may lay low this evening.   That means veggie soup, a light workout, tons of movies, and of course sneaky naps in between.  Promise for more exciting adventures tomorrow.

Wearing C. by Christing C. and my new favourite boots courtesy of Asos.
This week has left little breathing space, between running around the rainy city to fulfil our jam packed schedule and attempting to keep sleepy jet lag behaviour at bay.  Jumping head first into the event circuit is a little daunting, but keeping occupied and looking forward to an exciting December is giving me just enough energy to get me through until a 10pm bedtime.  Early I know.  Off to fit a work out into my morning.

Sorry for disappearing.  We had a quickie, jam packed trip to NYC which ended with a 16 hour flight home and me sleeping for about 3 days straight.  Monday is looming so I promise to be back to my productive self.  The end of a month long, carefree trip is hard to shake from your bones, makes me want to take things just a little less seriously.  Catching up with old friends and seeing myself in new light made even more clear the changes that have taken place in the last few years.  I’m not quite the same, not as frivolous, but definitely more sure of who I am.  It’s been easier to tune out the negative and revel in all that I have to be thankful about in my life.  The world around you will always have their own opinions about your life and how you should live it, despite barely knowing who you are today, but you don’t always have to listen.  Just smile, nod, and have another glass of champagne 😉
