Our days were spent at the large infinity pool overlooking sea views and dining on delicious fare from Tropikana Beach Club. The kids enjoyed time in the fun playroom and the serene spa was ideal for indulgent massages after a day at the beach. The rooms were spacious, new, and had plenty of space for a small family. The surrounding area is full of local and western restaurants as well as convenience stores, fruit stands, and so much more. A perfect choice for those who value location, amazing service, and five star amenities.

Zazen Boutique Resort has one of the best reputations on Koh Samui and for very good reason.  The beautiful, Mediterranean style establishment is the perfect beachfront oasis on Bophut Beach.  We loved the lush greenery, serene pathways, romantic restaurant, and sweeping sea views.  Their refreshing lagoon pool was ideal for young children and gave you a true sense of escape when spending the day poolside.  Bophut Beach is home to many of Koh Samui’s favourite eateries including Zazen Restaurant which serves mouthwatering Thai, European, and vibrant fare.  We loved their Deluxe Garden Villas which were spacious enough for our small family and allowed both privacy and relaxation throughout our stay.  If you are looking for nostalgic and beautiful scenery, luxurious surrounding, beachfront location, and five star service Zazen Boutique Resort is the perfect choice. Find a slice of paradise off the coast of Phuket at The Racha.  Located on picturesque Racha Yai, The Racha is the ultimate in private barefoot luxury.  From their decadent VIP lounge to the stunning  boat ride, your welcome to the beautiful resort will be unforgettable.  We were in instant awe upon sight of crystal blue waters and abundance of colourful fish dancing through the Andaman Sea.  Our toes dipped into the white sand and we relaxed in the open air lobby before being taken to our sumptuous pool villa.  The sea facing villas feature large king size beds, comfortable lounge areas, gigantic infinity pools boasting ocean views, and a bathtub large enough to fit the whole family.  Our days were spent snorkelling through the clean and pleasant waters or lounging on the powdery white sand.  As sunset descends on the beach we grabbed cocktails and juice for the kids and relaxed in the breezy hammocks to take in the colourful view.  The restaurants served up mouthwatering Thai and Western fare and the fresh daily catch was a highlight at every meal.  Ever and River loved every minute of their stay from the piping hot pizzas and pastas to fun swims in the beautiful sea and splashing in the own private pool.  The isolated resort gives you plenty of privacy and allows you to forget the worries of the world during your stay.  We can’t recommend this stunning island paradise more, and it’s at the top of our list of best beach resorts in Asia.

Our villa was only steps to the sandy beach, and as part of the Family Getaway Package we were treated to a lavish beach picnic in a secluded corner on the scenic strip of sand. The Family Getaway Package also included free children’s meals, 2 hour complimentary babysitting service, roundtrip airport transfers, and a design your own adventure experience. For our “adventure” we chose to spend the day at Phuket Nature Reserve where we were able to learn and care for the beautiful rescue elephants. Every aspect of the day was arranged by SALA including a personal driver who ensured we got to and from the reserve safely. The day was one of the most memorable from our trip in Thailand and thoroughly enjoyed by our children. Our evenings were spent soaking in the colourful sunsets before a mouthwatering dinner at their stylish and delicious main restaurant. Every meal at SALA was carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and we loved the varied choice ensuring everyone in our family was satisfied. The buzzing location ensured we were busy from day to night with stunning temples at every corner and the famous night market each Sunday. We loved the tranquil pool after a day of sightseeing and my worries were long forgotten after one of their signature aromatherapy massages. The Chala Grand Suite is ideal for families with views of the vibrant city, a grand separate bedroom and gigantic bath as well as cozy separate lounge and large entrance. Make sure to check out the food at their restaurants with plenty of mouthwatering local specialities on offer. You’ll be within easy walking distance of Myeongdong and Seoul Station as well as various subway stations to connect you to the city. Their modern serviced apartments offer all the amenities you would require including a large separate bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and washing machine, 24 hour gym, fun kid’s playroom, and the friendliest staff to assist you during your stay. We loved the city views from our cozy suite and the airport bus stops right outside, so you won’t lose your way upon arrival.

Getting There:

Hong Kong Airlines flies direct from Hong Kong to Seoul.

Treat yourself to a luxurious city break at Four Seasons Seoul, where you’ll be treated like royalty at the centre of the vibrant city. The palatial five star hotel is the ideal inviting space where you’ll be spoiled with fine dining, grand guestrooms, personal service, and unbeatable location. We were instantly greeted upon arrival and prepared with everything we would need to enjoy our time in Seoul. Only a few minutes walk from Gyeongbokgung Palace, we had plenty of beautiful and historical sights at our front step and a handy local map to lead the way. Our days were spent strolling through the nostalgic Buckchon Hanok Village, stopping for fragrant artisinal coffee at Blue Bottle Coffee before feasting on Korean BBQ at the highly recommended Maple Tree. Four Seasons Seoul is in close proximity to plenty of local markets and shops where we could snack on street food and buy souvenirs to our heart’s content. Cozy evenings were spent at their decadent Executive Lounge where champagne and delicate bites were always flowing, and dining at Four Seasons Seoul was true highlight. Boasting a variety of delicious restaurants, we loved the creative Japanese fare at stylish Akira Back and the traditional southern Italian dishes at Boccalino.

Our beautiful Palace View Executive Suite was fit for a king, with sweeping views, a grand lounge, dreamy marble bathroom, and an indulgently comfortable master bedroom. I couldn’t get enough of long baths gazing at the calming view and slept like a baby each night after the staff executed a detailed turndown service. One of our favorite evenings during our stay was spent at their ambient and stylish speakeasy, Charles H., enticingly hidden within the hotel. We couldn’t fault any aspect of our relaxing and luxurious stay and highly recommend Four Seasons Seoul to anyone who values consistent five star hospitality and true luxury at the heart of Seoul.
