H&M hat, jacket, top, and skirt, Jessica Simpson heels.
A Sunday routine is more than slightly essential for the boy and I.  In our former Notting Hill neighborhood, we joined the locals in a weekly wine infused brasserie meal followed by pub action that lasted until the late evening.  We’ve gone through stages of bed and pizza routines, late afternoon movies, random countryside excursions, and gatherings with friends.  Hong Kong offers a slightly more luxurious variety with their infinite choice of posh restaurant/bottomless champagne brunches, but on a Sunday like today there is nothing more I want than sleeping until noon, sandwiches and cappuccinos, and a lazy day of playing with the dogs and napping poolside.
Happy Sunday!

The boy and I are taking a weekend for ourselves.  The resort is close to empty so we’re cramming in as many lakeside candlelit meals, nap inducing aromatherapy massages, and general relaxation before next week’s hectic schedule.

Happy Saturday!!

H&M knit top, Topshop shorts, Mango boots, and headband from market in Taipei.
Probably the only clean items out of my three suitcases after two weeks of hotels and airports.  I cannot be more grateful to be in my own bed, snuggling the cutest dog, knowing someone will deal with my unpacking and  laundry tomorrow.  So thankful for our heavenly homebase.  Goodnight all!

Finally back in Hong Kong.  Settling back into our daily routine and content with being at home.  It’s always so much better sleeping in your own bed.

Today was the highlight of the whole trip, or maybe this year so far.  We awoke early to brilliant blue skies, a refreshingly light breeze, and plans to board a idyllic catamaran.  The day was full of adventurous activities, white sand beaches, floating in warm blue water, sunbathing in water hammocks, napping on the ultra comfortable front net, and doses of wine and delicious local cuisine.  It was a teary eyed departure at sunset.  At least we have decided a catamaran is a necessary purchase.  Now off to celebrate my bro’s bday!!  It’s the last night in Langkawi 🙁

Beach bbqs, nightly happy hours in the sand, island hopping, cliff top restaurants, poolside sangria, infinite waterfalls, fresh water lakes, corals full of fish, a warm green blue ocean, and slightly aggressive and hungry monkey encounters.  A pretty jam packed trip.  More to share soon!

I am quite literally two seconds away from passing out, but just had to say a quick hello from Langkawi.  The sand is as soft as powder, the seafood is mouthwatering, and beach bars are probably my favourite place to have drinks.  And that’s saying a lot!  Promise pics of this paradise tomorrow but for now I’ll leave you with the outfit I wore on the last day in Kuala Lumpur. More soon!

It is very rare when everyone in my family is visiting a city for the first time.  I think this may be the first. Our plane touched down at Kuala Lumpur airport late yesterday evening.  We stepped into the sticky warm air and maneuvered ourselves quickly through the basic airport.  After several confused turns at bargaining, we shuffled into a minivan roomy enough for our 7 person entourage and proceeded to our hotel at the centre of the city. Which was better than my families initial plan of driving down in a van, I think the only reason that didn’t go ahead is because the van insurance didn’t pan out the way it needed to. Our night was spent in full exploration mode, making ample use of the short time we are here.  Shopping was swift and successful at the Petronas Towers, dinner was a fusion of delightful coconut and chili flavours, and Luna Bar offered yet another stunning view.  Champagne poolside is never a bad way to end the night.  Less than 24 hours until we arrive at the beach!  Cannot wait!

Three nights and four days in Singapore.

A memorable trip always begins and ends with the company, and our group of friends made this holiday an incredible one.  We were introduced to hosts who were far more accommodating and friendly than necessary, found ourselves surrounded by a captivating view at all times, devoured everything from gourmet fusion to mouthwatering street food, visited a pool in the sky daily, shopped until we could walk no more, only managed four hours of sleep a night, had experiences that are far to hilarious to share, and even participated in some last minute roulette.

Almost had post holiday trauma…until we remembered we are leaving for Malaysia in less than 48 hours!!
