Taking full advantage of the sunshine and skipping out on random responsibilities just to do so. A one month vacation commences in about three weeks and I’m already dreaming about long road trips, houses that open up onto a stunning beach, and oversized American food. Planning is sometimes the best part.
Did I mention I’m afraid of heights? Often I’m happiest perched in seclusion, away from the city’s constant noise. I practice avoidance when it comes to negativity, gossip, and competition. We are all running at our own pace, so why does it constantly feel that you’ve been entered into a race you did not anticipate. I would rather select another path, unfazed by who to trust or each and every consequence. Do what you love and everything will follow. There’s room for everyone, you just need to find your own individual space.
The weekend is over and I’m already dreading everything that Monday brings. The good news is we are planning a few big holidays that will take place before the end of the year. I can’t wait to escape this busy city and find a dose of clean air and quiet calm nights.
Taking a random Tuesday just to enjoy each other’s company is a luxury I can never resist. The boy and I noticed a blinding, blinking sun first thing in the morning and grabbed our neccessities for a day at the yacht club. Swimming, cocktailing, and topping up our tans while most are trapped in confined offices feels like a devious act, but it’s our little secret.
After a long week of working on new pieces for C. by Christing C. and nightly dinners with the boy, we are ready for a lazy Sunday and a relaxing family dinner. It’s looking like a sunny week ahead. So excited to lounge seaside and work on my fading tan.
