When my family and I checked into MX Grand Suites, we instantly felt at home. Rather than the usual cramped hotel room, we were greeted with a spacious suite that included our very own kitchen, cozy living area, and a balcony with lovely views of the tree-lined street below. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with Park View and Terrace, which was both stylish and spacious—ideal for families. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. Thoughtful kids’ amenities, including special treats and activity kits, made our children feel just as pampered as the adults.

Dining at Samos, the hotel’s signature restaurant, was a highlight. The food was exceptional from fresh aguachile and Burrata to expertly prepared organic chicken and steak, and we were pleased to find a well-crafted children’s menu as well. The panoramic city views from the terrace added to the experience.

We also loved the state-of-the-art fitness center, serene spa, and tranquil vitality pool ideal for some well-deserved adult relaxation while the kids unwound.

The hotel’s location is ideal, with top museums, parks, and attractions just minutes away. It’s the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and family-friendly hospitality.

Nestled on a beautiful natural island, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi was the perfect family escape for us—combining barefoot luxury with genuine Maldivian warmth. From spacious beach villas to incredible dining, wellness facilities, and cultural experiences, this resort really had something for everyone.

When we arrived, we were greeted with scented cold towels, traditional bodu beru drumming, and made-to-order welcome drinks—a truly special start to our stay. Our Family Deluxe Beach Villa with Pool felt like home, with an open-air living area, private pool, and a cozy outdoor cabana for relaxing together. The king-size bedroom and luxurious bathroom, complete with a jacuzzi tub, were perfect for unwinding after beach days.

Dining was a real highlight. We loved Italian dishes at Trio and the authentic curries at Taste of India alongside decadent ambiance under the palms created an unforgettable dining experience. Flavours brought French fine dining to the overwater setting, and watching the sunset with cocktails at No Mistake Bar was unforgettable. We highly recommended the family friendly cooking class complete with ocean views and an engaging and memorable afternoon.

Our kids adored the beach and the wide range of kids’ activities, while the snorkeling trips and multiple pools kept everyone entertained. The tranquil spa was a welcome treat for us parents.  Nothing can beat waking to the pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, long walks under the palms trees and spending quality time as a family.

Our family loved planting a coconut tree on the island, complete with a personalized plaque bearing our names—a special way to leave our mark and create a lasting memory at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. It felt wonderful to contribute to the island’s natural beauty and know a part of our family will grow here for years to come.

From the moment we stepped onto Siyam World Maldives—one of the largest natural islands in the atoll—we knew this would be the ultimate family adventure. Our overwater villa felt like a private playground, complete with two spacious en-suite bedrooms, a private plunge pool and a slide that sent us all straight into the lagoon each morning. It was spacious and perfect for families.

We were blown away by the WOW! Premium All-Inclusive plan: unlimited Moët & Chandon, milkshakes, tropical cocktails and a plethora of cuisines and bars to satisfy even the pickiest foodie. Breakfast buffets gave way to lunches at Kaage (fresh Maldivian curries), tapas at Andalucía, and Thai classics at Takrai—topped off with sunset sips at the Together Bar.

Kids were in their element at Kidz World, where they made instant friends, and couldn’t get enough of the activities including racing jet cars across the water and zooming go-karts through the jungle track. The floating water park was hugely popular, and we all cheered as our little ones conquered each obstacle. On quieter days, we hopped on resort bikes (or a handy buggy) to explore hidden coves and discover the first horse ever born in the Maldives, and indulged in a couples massage at VEYO Spa.

Water lovers will also adore the snorkeling excursions—vivid coral gardens teeming with life—and dolphin cruises at dusk. Back on land, we cooled off in one of the many pools, or lounged on the pristine white sand beaches.  Sunset and live music at Infinity Bar was also a huge highlight if you’re craving a romantic date night.

From the moment we arrived at The Standard Maldives, we knew we were in for something special. Tucked away in the Raa Atoll, this chic, design-forward island struck the perfect balance between laid-back luxury and playful family fun. It felt like the kind of place where both grown-ups and little ones could truly unwind and reconnect.

We stayed in an Ocean Overwater Pool Villa, and it was everything you’d imagine a Maldivian escape to be. Our private pool overlooked endless turquoise water, the deck was perfect for lazy afternoons, and the oversized bathtub quickly became a post-swim favourite for the kids. Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and being able to dip straight into the lagoon felt like a dream. The added bonus? A private butler who somehow anticipated our every need and made our stay feel effortless.

There was never a dull moment for the kids—or for us! Between kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and even joining in on water aerobics, they were constantly on the move. The inflatable overwater water park was a massive hit, and we loved cycling around the island as a family. In the evenings, we’d gather for sunset shows and family-friendly entertainment—fire dancers being a firm favourite.

Dining at The Standard Maldives was another highlight of our stay. We loved the variety, from the vibrant international spreads at Kula to the authentic Maldivian flavours served overwater at Guda Guda. BBQ Shak was our go-to for grilled seafood under the stars, and there was always something to satisfy the kids—from pizza to fresh fruit smoothies. Whether we were enjoying breakfast with a view or sharing dessert on the beach, every meal felt special and full of flavour.

It truly was a family holiday to remember.

Just a 40-minute speedboat ride from Malé, Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives felt like a dreamy island playground made just for families. From the moment we stepped onto the soft white sand, we knew we were in for something special.

We stayed in an Overwater Family Villa—complete with bunk beds, a jacuzzi bathtub, and a spacious deck perfect for sunset lounging. The thoughtful touches (kid-sized robes, blackout curtains, child-safe balconies) made traveling with little ones so much easier.

The kids couldn’t get enough of the overwater water park and spotting reef sharks and stingrays right from the villa. We floated down the lazy river while sipping cocktails from the swim-up bar—pure bliss!

The all-inclusive Atollia package made everything feel effortless. We dined at both Centara Mirage and Centara Grand, with endless options from Thai favorites to teppanyaki and fresh seafood by the sea. Ice cream from Scoops was a daily must.

While we indulged in heavenly massages at SPA Cenvaree, the kids had their own pampering at the colorful Candy Spa.

This island truly blends fun and luxury in the most family-friendly way—we left with full hearts and already dreaming of coming back.

Our stay at Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa was a dream woven from turquoise waters, barefoot elegance, and unforgettable family moments. Nestled on its own private island, the resort’s stunning villas are a designers dream.  Whether  nestled among lush gardens or perched above the lagoon they both offered luxury and serenity. Our beach villa was just steps from the stunning beach with refreshing private pool, sumptuous bedroom and bathroom, and dreamy outdoor shower and bath.

The main infinity pool overlooks the ocean, blending seamlessly with the horizon. We spent hours lounging, playing and enjoying poolside lunches and tropical drinks. Vidhun Spa offered a sanctuary of healing and the ideal space to rejuvenate after a long travel journeys. Evenings came alive a a number of mouthwatering restaurants.  The overwater Japanese eatery Koi was an intimate and unique venue and we loved family evenings at their Seafood Beach BBQ, where we dined under stars savoring the freshest local catch.

A highlight for our children was the Kids Club, packed with marine-themed crafts and nature-based adventures, and the snorkeling expeditions are must.  The resort’s vibrant 360 degree reef is brimming with marine life and fun for both adults and young explorers.

What makes Park Hyatt truly special is its “Our Living Island” concept—a genuine commitment to sustainability, where luxury and nature coexist in harmony. Add to that the exceptional cuisine, warm staff, and serene privacy, and you have a perfect balance of indulgence and authenticity.
