We were absolutely blown away by the Fairmont Maldives. Not only do they have some of the most stunning villas in the the islands but every aspect of the resort is created to give the guest the most luxurious and personalised experience. Service was impeccable in every dining outlet and poolside and we even had a butler who assisted us with any activity or restaurant booking, as well as ensuring all our needs were met throughout our trip.
The variety of villas range from one to three bedrooms and are available in both beachfront and overwater. Couples and families will find something that suit their needs and large villas with separate lounges mean that you can add extra bed for infants or toddlers without the worry of crowding. We loved the gigantic private pools and being only steps from the idyllic turquoise ocean. The bathroom was spacious and grand with a circular bathtub fit for royalty. Floating breakfasts are a must if you’re staying overwater, and the stylish design made our stay even more luxurious.
Guests can choose to relax and unwind in the privacy of their villas or take advantage of all the amazing activities on offer. Children can spend time in the unique and interactive Kids Club while parents indulge in a massage at the five star spa. The main pool is a perfect spot to splash, play, or enjoy a cocktail and a snorkeling tour is a must. The resident marine biologists are on hand to show you the vibrant house reef where you have a 90% chance of spotting a turtle and even manta rays in the right season.
Restaurants at Fairmont were a highlight of our stay from mouthwatering buffets to decadent lobster feasts. Check out Azure for the most incredible seafood experience and stunning overwater location or head to Kata for a fun sushi making session. We were so impressed that the majority of the seafood was sourced locally from the reef and they were happy to always cater to any specific requests for our children.
