NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort

There is something so special about arriving on a beautiful Maldivian island, surrounded by endless shades of turquoise, powdery white sand and lush tropical greenery. NH Maldives Kuda Rah, tucked away in the stunning South Ari Atoll, felt like our own little slice of paradise, with its intimate atmosphere, beautiful natural surroundings and wonderfully welcoming team.

We stayed in a Two Bedroom Beach Pool Pavilion Villa, which was perfect for our family. I loved the spacious duplex layout, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and our private swimming pool just steps from the ocean. The breezy outdoor deck, upper balcony and hammock quickly became favourite spots to unwind between swims. Of course, a floating breakfast in our pool was another indulgent highlight.

Days were spent swimming in the crystal-clear ocean, kayaking across the lagoon and relaxing beside the resort’s picturesque main swimming pool. South Ari Atoll is renowned for its incredible marine life, making it an especially beautiful destination for families who love exploring the underwater world.

One of our favourite memories was River heading out on a sunset fishing excursion and proudly returning with his catch. The following day, we all joined a Maldivian cooking class, learning about traditional flavours before enjoying River’s freshly caught fish for lunch. It was such a lovely experience and one of those little moments that made our stay feel especially personal.

Dining was another highlight, from Sea Spray’s varied buffets and freshly prepared favourites to more refined evenings at Ocean Restaurant. We also loved our private beach dinner, dining beneath the stars surrounded by flickering fire torches and the gentle ocean breeze.

What made our stay even more enjoyable was the resort’s generous all-inclusive package and genuinely lovely team, who always greeted us with warm smiles. NH Maldives Kuda Rah offered that wonderful balance of barefoot island luxury, beautiful surroundings and meaningful family experiences that we’ll remember long after leaving.
