Liverpool Street and Shoreditch is such a cool area that’s a must explore in London. We love the trendy boutiques, eclectic markets, foodie must eats, and vibrant streets. Here’s a quick guide suitable for the whole family. We stayed at Andaz London perfectly located beside Liverpool Street tube and short walking distance to everything in the neighborhood. Spitalfields Matket was just a short walk from the hotel’s front steps and housed a plethora of delicious restaurants, yummy food stalls, independent designers, and stylish boutiques. Brick Lane was another firm favourite of ours in the area, brimming with colorful graffiti, delicious curry restaurants, and the best vintage market in town.
As we were travelling with children a stop at Spitafields City Farm was a must. They loved the opportunity to engage in community farming, meet the resident farm animals, and even grab a hot chocolate at the outdoor cafe. There was a playground next door that was a huge hit with Ever and River.
For history buffs like us and avid Harry Potter fans, LeadenHall Market, the historic street that served as Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter movies, was a fun excursion.
Don’t miss Andaz’s mouthwatering dining destinations, especially the traditional pub fare at Lady Abercorn’s and Japanese eats at Miyako. Our loft style suite boasted a sumptuous king size bed and gigantic bathroom ensuring there was plenty of space for a family of four. As hotel guests we could make full use of the well equipped fitness centre, a la carte or buffet breakfasts at two different venues, and a welcoming complimentary cocktail hour each evening. An amazing stay in East London with Andaz London Liverpool Street.
