Layering just happens to be one of my favourite hobbies, but can be near impossible in HK’s sweltering humidity and heat. This is why the kimono top can often be a summer wardrobe’s best friend. Light, airy, and gives that just fell out of bed bohemian vibe. A definite staple in my yearly looks, which is why Bubble Mood’s version from Mode in Asia caught my attention immediately. I love the nod to nautical stripes and swishy jersey fabric. I paired it with the sweetest skirt I own, but was pretty tempted to throw it over a white tee and denim for an always relevant formula.
Mode in Asia is a Singapore/Shanghai based online shop that brings us all the hottest emerging designers from Asia, bridging the gap between high street and luxury. Think trendy dresses, statement jewellry, pretty kimonos, and fun prints. The perfect spot to locate pieces that are unique and support local talent. Watch out for the arrival of new designer Helen Lee, and check out my top picks from Aijek, Lalalove, and Stolen.
P.S. Shipping to HK is available at a flat rate of $6 USD so there’s no reason not to shop. Like Mode in Asia on Facebook for sales updates and new arrivals!!
