Spring is here in Hong Kong, which makes everything seem a million times brighter.  I always feel like sunshine brings with it fresh beginnings.  You are encouraged to wash away the Winter induced bitterness and discard the rainy day blues.  Blue skies provide the therapy you require to start afresh, to seek inspiration, and to motivate your ambitious side.  So now that I’ve had this unexpected jumpstart to my attitude, I’m ready for more.

I know I haven’t returned to normal blogging form, but this week has been one appointment, party, meeting after another, and the boy’s return is the icing on the cake.  We have decided to spend Sunday dreaming, eating, lounging poolside, and not doing much else.  These kind of days usually result in catching up on a million movies we have been meaning to see and me spending hours browsing tumblr.   Here is a little inspiration I located today.  The weather made me crave an ever romantic upcoming Spring.  We have booked in a hike first thing tomorrow morning…or our version of morning which is 1pm.  Promise to share an outfit tomorrow!!

One of the the wonderful but sometimes annoying factors of living in Hong Kong is you run into acquaintances literally everywhere you go.  It’s impossible to grab a quick lunch hidden in baggy pjs, sweat it out during a quiet gym session, or snuggle in a romantic restaurant without saying hello to a familiar face.  But last night was the perfect example of why running into friends everywhere can turn into impromptu drunken fun.  My brother and I pulled ourselves into somewhat formal attire and headed poolside at the Conrad Hotel for the ELEQT event.  Everyone we usually spot at Hong Kong’s favourite clubs, exclusive fashion events, and trendy restaurants seemed to be present for the occasion.  We sipped wine and Peroni beside a Lamborghini, delved into random canapes, and caught up with the beautiful crowd.  After we could no longer stand the incessant rumblings of our underfed stomachs, Tim and I managed to gather a few with the same sentiments to feast on yakitori and sake at Yardbird.  It’s safe to say we closed the restaurant and I can barely recall the hazy taxi journey home.  Tonight may call for a night in…maybe.

I know my I’ve been slacking on the blog this week, but I forgot how difficult it is to keep this up without my photographer (the boy) by my side 24/7.  I have been working hard on a few projects  and the boy returns next week, so daily blogging will resume shortly.  Until then I’m going to leave you with a few iPhone self portraits of my dress-up session earlier today.  This is the process I go through when deciding my Friday night outfit.  Well maybe not every week, but sometimes.  Everything is available at Christing C. and don’t forget to use “hedonism” at checkout  to get 20% off all non-sale items!!

Check back tomorrow for more!

The most complex, passionate, and fulfilling relationships often bring the most amount of torment.  To truly care you must give yourself away with the ultimate risk of heartache.  I have never been someone who puts a barrier between myself and others.  I pour my heart out easily, I trust with complete faith, and I am stupidly hopeful at the worst of times.  There are those who say this is reckless, naive, and unnecessary, but I would rather be vulnerable and love without abandon than close myself in a room without warmth.  If I am open to the possibility, the experiences will flee before me.  I can relish in the great and learn from the bad.  Anything else doesn’t quite feel like living.

Bec & Bridge cloud print cami soon to be available on Christing C., Sass & Bide shorts, random denim shorts, and Cambridge Satchel courtesy of MyBag.com.
I am addicted to sloppy outfits for weekends with just about nothing planned.  Yesterday was one of those days where brunch became a walk, which then turned into afternoon tea and hours of chatting, which then evolved into wine tasting, a cozy jazz night, dancing late night in a crowded club, and a 2 am McDonald’s pig out session.  I have just been informed a French chef is visiting my Dad’s home today and preparing dinner as we speak.  So random, but it is safe to say Sunday night will involve an abundant amount of cuisine and wine.  At least I managed to slumber for over 12 hours last night.  Finally.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Horace mesh jacket and leather vest, Sass & Bide shorts, Zara tee.
Trying my best to stay awake and not miss the boy.  I left him behind for an extra two weeks while I returned to a beautiful Hong Kong spring.  Now my only tasks are to slumber at reasonable hours, catch up on a million emails, stay away from drunken behaviour for a few days, and partake in catch up dates with my blogger buddies.  Please excuse the sunnies after sunset.  You did not want to see my pale, jetlagged face today.  More tomorrow!!

One Teaspoon top and shorts, Carin Wester backpack available at Christing C.

Sundays are meant for lazy behaviour, plenty of wine, and early bedtimes.  The boy and I tried Jamie’s Italian for the first time and devoured the most delectable cockles linguine, shared a gigantic cheese platter, and continued our slow afternoon way past sunset.  We were cozily asleep far before midnight and even managed to giggle at random British reality television we happily overlooked while in Hong Kong.  Only one more night before departure.  See you soon Hong Kong!

Stylein Enchanted Dress and Mara Hoffman cardigan (both on sale at Christing C.), Horace leather vest, and Cheap Monday wedges.

London Fashion Week has come to a close and I now have time for catch up dates, shopping sprees, long brunches, and reminiscent walks with the boy.  I have loved this trip to London, which has been inspiring and exceedingly exciting.  We have lots of exciting things coming up for both Fashion Hedonism and Christing C. and hopefully more frequent trips to one of my favourite cities.
I’m off to enjoy my last few days before heading back to Hong Kong.

We are here! Enjoying the cold air, already caught up with two of my absolute favourite people ever, ate the most delicious organic rustic meals, drank wine all day, and slept for what seems like forever.  I feel charged and pumped for fashion week.

Found this perfect vintage coat for £40 at Beyond Retro.  It won’t fit into my suitcase, way too hot to wear in Hong Kong, is a little too heavy for comfort, but who could ignore the Almost Famous resemblance.  Anything Penny Lane would wear is always good enough for me.

More tomorrow!
