Wearing Bec&Bridge top coming soon to Christing C., Mischa clutch, H&M hat, vintage DIY denim skirt, Asos boots.

Restaurant: Brickhouse.  G/F, 20A D’Aguilar Street via Brick Lane.  www.brickhouse.com.hk

Wore this to sample the new menu at Brickhouse earlier this week.  I am obsessed with Mexican food and Brickhouse is one of the only spots in HK that does it well.  I think I may be equally enticed by the ultra cool atmosphere as much as the yummy dishes.  The boy and I obsessed over the array of cocktails, watermelon salad, and good mood inducing music creating just the right vibe after a strenuous Tuesday.  This week seems to be lasting forever.  Can’t wait for the weekend.  I think I may spend the majority of it in bed.

Mara Hoffman Cardigan, Insight shorts, and Mischa clutch all available at Christing C.
American Apparel tank and Rolex watch.
When you spend most of the year sharing the majority of a day with someone else, being alone can become an awkward endeavour.  I find myself daydreaming at a whim, confused about what exact time to consume food, and wandering aimlessly through shops as if a schedule doesn’t exist.  I am always reminded of the episode of Sex and the City where Carrie shares her “secret single behaviour.”  The things you would never do if your boyfriend was around.  I like to ride my exercise bike while watching old episodes of Greys Anatomy, eat food so spicy my face turns tomato red, and sleep far past noon without a care in the world.

What is your secret single behaviour??

Here’s a quick peek at the casual outfit I wore for meetings and errands on a Monday!  Thanks Derek of Ztylistas for helping me take a few pics!!

I’m wearing Maurie & Eve Sedgwick shirt dress available at Christing C.  and vintage cardigan.  Accessories: Mischa clutch available at Christing C. and my Dad’s Rolex.

Last night was Landmark Men’s Summer Party (Part 2).  This week was far more exciting due to the launch of The Armoury and JJ of The Wanderlister’s exclusive styling session filmed by HKHQ TV.  Everyone and anyone seemed to be present readily perusing the collections and meeting Hong Kong’s most fashionable men.  We entertained ourselves at The Armoury’s whiskey tasting bar, watched the boy serve as The Wanderlister’s model, admired DJ Angus Wong’s hot Christian Louboutin sneakers, and lost in a challenging game of beer pong.

Insight 51 knit shorts available at Christing C. Mischa clutch available at Christing C. Cuff and boots courtesy of Asos.

Date night with the boy is so essential after 48 hours of craziness with friends.  I wore my comfiest knitwear and dined on our favourite steak with a side of wine.  Catching up, dying over the best apple crumble, laughing about nothing, and going to bed early is probably the best way to spend a Monday night.

As a finishing touch to the boy’s birthday celebrations we embarked on a evening junk trip (Hong Kong’s definition of yachting) with a few of our besties.  Vodka cocktails were sipped at sunset, a seafood feast was devoured on Lamma Island, and the city lights served as the perfect backdrop to our late night drunken conversation. I wore the boy’s top and my trusty One Teaspoon shorts, and we actually managed to find our way to FLY in all our random “I’ve been on a boat all day” looks.  This may become a Friday tradition.

And because apparently all our friends are bloggers, artists, designers, or djs here is a list of all the attendees and their links 😉

All my Brew&Post loves, accessories designer Mischa, “Hong Kong’s hottest DJ” or “14th Most Average DJ” and model Eve Speciall, Electric Sekki social media star Priscilla I’Anson, HKHQ TV‘s Boris Burgress, and of course the birthday boy and food obsessed Hungry Hong Kong

JJ aka The Wanderlister and I.  JJ is wearing Hill Menswear and Toms shoes.

Me: Forever 21 Sandals. Stylein top, Bec & Bridge skirt, and Mischa Clutch all available at Christing C.
Indulgent, satisfying days like these are capable of erasing every stressful memory or worry.  The boy and I usually sway towards long weekend holidays, uncertain of leaving home and work for too long, but this was a necessary exception.  Be prepared for many more days of white sand, blue sky infused photos and general documentation of lazy behaviour.

Bec & Bridge cami available at Christing C., Forever 21 cardigan, One Teaspoon shorts, MISCHA clutch.

The boy and I dedicated Wednesday to partaking in seriously lazy behaviour on an idyllic patch of grass conveniently set affront the captivating Hong Kong view.  We dutifully crated a cooler of ice cold beverages, my gigantic Missoni towel, and a petite camera to meet one of our Hong Kong favourites for a day drinking session outdoors.  We feasted on a huge meal provided by the famous Chicken Man,  sipped too many bottles of wine, watched the hazy sunset, and chatted about everything and anything until nightfall.  Sometimes you only need the bare necessities, fun personalities, and alcohol fuelled laughter to make the perfect day.

xo

Also there are lots New Arrivals on Christing C., including Aje, Maurie & Eve, Paper Crown, and Bec & Bridge!

Go check it out now!!
