Laguna Moon kimono/cardigan, H&M bikini and headband, River Island sandals, and Nookie beach bag.

The boy and I finally got the chance to play at the beach today. Who knew a thirty minute taxi ride out of the city would present a seaside town with deliciously fresh seafood and one huge sandy beach. We dined on steamed fish and garlic prawns, sipped beer while our toes dug into the sand, and watched a mesmerizing sunset just before snagging a taxi home. The ideal Sunday getaway.

Only a few more weeks of Summer left, so I’ve been browsing inspiration that will remind me to hit the beach before it’s too late. The boy and I are seriously missing our yearly excursion to Cannes, but Hong Kong’s smoking hot weather and abundant access to yachts and sand will definitely suffice. I think I know how we’ll be spending our Sunday 😉

Egoist blouse.

The boy and I went slightly overboard at the JFT sale (who can resist with that kind of discount?!) yesterday, and after rummaging through our stuffed bags, I think I’m most partial to this leopard print blouse from Japanese brand Egoist. I practically ripped it off the mannequin as we rushed to pay, but the impulse was definitely justified. It works easily on it’s own with nothing but a pair of heels and I’m already imagining all the ways I can layer it, if winter ever descends upon Hong Kong.

It’s Friday, so of course it’s date night with the boy!

stopping for air

Wearing a lot of H&M on a laid back Wednesday night. The boy and I took a mini break from our visitors to partake in date night at a French bistro we’ve been meaning to try for weeks. After a two hour over indulgent meal, we reconvened with the others for cocktails, shisha smoking, and random debates about nothing important at all. I think I’ll be spending the weekend catching up on lost sleep. There may be food and cocktails in between, but I’m not promising anything. Slumber is definitely priority number one.

I wanted to share a few behind the scenes shots, and I can’t wait for all of you to see the finished product on September 1st. I have spent the past few months on an exciting business which is launching in less than one month. On September 1st my boutique, Christing C, will open it’s doors for our first A/W collection. I am bringing many of my favourite designers from Australia, Sweden, and the U.S. to Hong Kong, and the great news is that all of you across the world will be able to shop too because we are going to be an online boutique. I’ll share more about the shop during this month, but for now I will leave you with our list of designers and pics of the unfinished showroom and one of my favourite pieces that we are stocking!

Ksubi at I.T.

The boy and I headed to the gigantic I.T. on Hysan Ave to join Electric Sekki‘s press day for the boys behind ultra cool denim label, Ksubi. We watched them present their “jean machine,” complete with a vending machine that dispensed everything from Berocca to hundred dollar bills, and got a first look at their exclusive collection for I.T. I was told the pieces are one of a kind, so if you want one you better be fast. I am contemplating jumping into a cab as we speak to snatch the gold paint splattered denim shorts before they’re gone forever. The Ksubi boys were as expected, fun, easygoing, and hilarious. Overall another entertaining afternoon spent with my favourite people from Electric Sekki!

Have been spending my week getting over this cold, sifting through piles of clothes, entertaining amusing guests, consuming too much food, packing up our schedule for the next month, and almost giving myself anxiety attacks from the overwhelming amount of tasks that still must be completed. I’m exhausted, but happy. That is all.
