Weekends are for sleeping in as late as possible, wine on balconies and napping in the afternoon, brunches that last until dark, visits to the most delicious tapas bar, singing songs I forgot I knew with my little sister, countless cocktails and smiles, and wondering how so many hours passed so quickly.  Only a few hours left to enjoy 😉

H&M cardigan and hat, top from random Hong Kong boutique, One Teaspoon leather shorts and fox tail from DollsKill.
As you have probably noticed, one of my favourite everyday accessories is the fox tail.  Simply clipped onto the bag of your choice, you can give any basic outfit a slight edge.  I have searched endlessly for a varied selection and I think DollsKill may have it.  They also carry plenty of One Teaspoon pieces which is my new Australian obsession.  The shorts are an ideal fit and so comfortable I seriously want to wear them everyday.  Click here to check it out!!

This weekend the boy and I have been avoiding social events, and stuck to low key date nights.  Sometimes you don’t want to make the effort to converse with a million strangers… It’s just that kind of mood.  We’ve taken plenty of pictures of our date nights though, so I’ll share soon!  xo

H&M sweater, Urban Outfitters Skirt, Asos boots, Karen Walker sunglasses.

Decided to go with a girlier look for Father’s Day brunch.  My Dad is probably trendier than most, but still prefers me in dresses and skirts over denim shorts and leather leggings.  I think he almost fainted at the thought of the infamous over the knee boot trend, so I’m sure he appreciated the small effort.
Time for our weekly big family dinner… complete with babies, toddlers, puppies, aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.  Yes, we are a big bunch 😉

H&M top, Bershka shorts, Jessica Simpson heels, and Karen Walker sunglasses.

You know that still minute just before a big event?  It’s the silence that rings with expectation while waiting for that moment?  That defines my exact mood.  I’m itching to share!

It’s far too hot and sunny to wear much more than a loose tee and baggy shorts.  I promise to make more effort tomorrow… 😉

It’s been one long day, but I’m finally sitting down to dinner with my boys and we plan on having one big Friday night 😉

H&M sweater, Topshop shorts and hat, Jeffrey Campbell boots.
Playing dress-up, buying furniture, walks with the dog, lots of family meals, wine with the boy, and plenty of spa treatments in between.  Still a few days before we return to the city and we’re soaking up as much down time and pool breaks as possible before heading back.

Dress was gift from my cousin, Urban Outfitters top.
There are certain comments which can dig at my every insecurity.  I have been through circles of doubt and moments of extreme betrayal.  I have felt smaller than a pebble and often fear embarrassment.  I can morph to fit with the crowd, and stand tall during moments of strength.  People often don’t believe me when I state I used to be incredibly shy, but the truth is I still feel shadows of it on a daily basis.  I envy those who laugh at the sharp words of others.  I admire those who can look past the surface and I aspire to be as strong as the most self assured people I know.  A peaceful, calm confidence is my ultimate goal.
