Baby sleeping arrangements are a big decision we have been trying to work out.   We have come to the conclusion that keeping our options open is a good way to go, as I am still unsure how I will feel once the little one arrives.  Will I want her right beside me each and every night, or would it be better for her to be in the next room in a cot of her own?  We will have full time help, so I am not sure if I will be doing all the night feeds or maybe alternate nights with the nanny? Both the boy and I came to the conclusion that she will have her cot as well as a moses basket next to our bed.  That way we can make the decision when the time comes.  When choosing a moses baskets, I knew immediately I wanted a natural look and organic bedding and materials.   After serveral hours of perusing different sites and comparing reviews, these two were my top choices.
Little Merry Fellows:  I love the look and feel of this brand. Natural and organic products with a distinct bohemian allure.  I fell instantly for the poetry inscribed and heart shaped receiving blankets all contructed from organic materials.  The beautiful Lafayette Moses Basket set would fit perfectly in a field of wild flowers and comes with a fluffy organic faux shearling base mattress.  Everything looks delicate and cozy, perfect for a pampered little girl.  They don’t ship to China/HK yet, but if you have friends or family in the USA maybe you could go that route?  We are getting ours here via a separate shipping service.
Little Green Sheep: This British brand comes highly recommended by several magazines and tv shows.  They fuse practicality with organic materials and great service.   You can find custom fit organic mattresses for your moses basket as well as fitted or flat sheets made from 100% certified organic cotton.  Everything is chemical free and has a great natural look.  Their Organic Moses mattress is handmade in Wales and safe for babies will allergies and eczema. I also love their cute, simple sleepwear sets. The best part is they have next day delivery in the UK and deliver to China and HK.
Let me know if you guys have any recommendations for organic bedding and clothing.

All I dream of doing on a lazy Sunday is relaxing and indulging in pampering behaviour.  The Four Seasons Spa is one of my favourite spots to unwind.  Now that I have the baby bump in tow I am far more cautious about massages but am needing them more than ever.  Four Seasons offers an amazingly luxurious experience for mommies to be.  Their “Mother’s Love” package is two hours of absolute bliss, including a refreshing scrub, luxurious full body massage, and revitalising aloe wrap.   I love the special cushion they provide for your bump so you are able to lie on your front and fully enjoy the experience.  All products are from The Organic Pharmacy Mother and Baby range, which felt and smelled divine over my tired and stretched skin.   If you are really looking for an escape, book one of the VIP suites which includes a relaxing daybed and plunge pool both overlooking the stunning harbour view.   I brought along the boy and reveled in a few romantic, carefree hours.   I felt so pampered with silky soft skin, and the best part was all my back aches had disappeared.  A must have treat for expectant mommies.

For those of you who follow me on Instagram (@ChristingC), you probably already know the boy and I are expecting 🙂  Already over 6 months along, so less than three months to go.   Starting a family is a daunting step that we have discussed and anticipated for a little while now.  The sensation of growing a little person inside of me is exhilarating in itself and I feel ecstatic with every hint of movement.  I’m guessing our world is about to shift dramatically very soon, but I’m so excited to bring our little girl up in our carefree and non-conventional ways.  The boy and I never were up for following the rules through marriage and I’m sure parenting will be a similar adventure for us.  I was daydreaming today about the years I lived in London as an irresponsible single girl.  Those years before I met the boy and before this blog began. I still can sense so many of that innocent girl’s passions and spontaneity in my daily decisions.  Her nonchalant spirit and disregard for everyone’s expectations.  Those elements are still so strong in my personality today.  The main emotion I find missing are the random moments of loneliness that used to hit when I traipsed the cold streets with music blaring in my ears, family less holidays that quickly passed, and weekends in bed nursing my colossal hangovers.  Loneliness is a very foreign emotion to me now and something I don’t ever want back.   I am relishing the sense of belonging in this little family we will soon become.

I’m going to be posting more bump pics and recommending all my pre-mommy discoveries on here and Instagram (@ChristingC).  Follow me and the hashtag #ccbabybump on Instagram for updates about pre-natal spa treatments, cute bump flattering outfits, baby outfit shopping, and pregnancy friendly workouts.

And for all of you who aren’t into the whole baby thing…don’t worry!  Fashion Hedonism will still be all about outfit posts and fashion inspiration for you to browse.
