Ever is wearing Jacadi romper and headband, and Zara sunglasses and sandals.

I’m wearing Christing C. Kata Kimono and Toms Hong Kong shoes and limited edition tote available at Woaw Store.

We are putting away the post vacation blues and making daily park picnics a part of HK life.  The weather is in perfect blue sky form and our little newly one year old is precariously taking her first unassisted steps.  The last year has been the most enlightning and fulfilling yet.  Learning how to become Ever’s Mother, understanding how far I could push myself mentally and physically, and the selfless demanor that takes stance in your heart were things I expected but knew little about until now.  I try to better myself daily for her, and concentrate on drowning out outside noise in exchange for perfecting our little family.  Her smiles she saves just for us, her generous personality, and sweetly shy ways are things I savour knowing it may change with the blink of an eye.  Instead of wondering what I want next, I consider what she needs, and am deftly protective of her desires.  We can’t help but want our little ones to follow our footsteps but I’m doing my best to allow her to be exactly who she wants to be.

Toms Hong Kong and Every Mother Counts have joined together to create a limited edition tote sold at Woaw Store.  Visit the store on Gough Street or order online  this Mother’s Day and support a great cause for Mothers around the world.  $5 USD from every bag sold will go to Every Mother Counts’ efforts to make pregnancy and childbirth safer for moms worldwide.

Mara Hoffman Cardigan and Stolen Girlfriends Club shirt from Christing C.
Moussy top, Toms shoes c/o Lane Crawford, Celine sunglasses.

Throw all your favourite stuff together and wear it out.   I’ve been wearing a variation of this outfit all week, basically due to comfort and the random HK weather which is a little hot and cold at the moment.  I decided to throw on my Bliss Lau collar over the top to add a little bit of luxe to an altogether sloppy look.  I love this piece which you can wear in four different ways and is perfect for random layering.  Off to enjoy the non-rainy weather and share a bottle of wine with the boy.

Stolen Girlfriends Club dress on sale at Christing C., Toms shoes c/o Lane Crawford, Givenchy bag.

Skipping around the historical area of Macau, sampling Portuguese restaurants, and sitting next to fountains on a refreshingly windy day.  I have never really explored this Asian “Vegas” in the past, but the boy and I are ecstatic about the decadent dining options and slightly European streets.  There are plenty little pockets of cuteness to be discovered, and the air feels just a little cleaner than HK’s usual smog

Wildfox tee c/o Shopbop, Mara Hoffman cardigan and Maurie&Eve Lapis Short from Christing C., Toms c/o Lane Crawford, and Topshop hat.

Reemerged after three days beside this lake, chilling with family, feasting Chinese banquet style, and gambling with money and whiskey shots. My family is built up of members who hold drinking, eating, and partying as major priorities much like myself, so you can imagine the late night debauchery that took place. Most that join our gatherings either instantly fit in or are frightened from the start. Happy Chinese New Year to all of you out there who celebrate.

I’m wearing Versace leather jacket, Stolen Girlfriends Club Zip Tank Dress on sale at Christing C.  And sparkly Toms available at Lane Crawford.

Lane Crawford’s newest addition is the inspiring and charitable shoe brand, Toms.  Last night, Toms founder Blake Mycoskie hosted the official Hong Kong launch at IFC showing his passion for the cause.  All of Hong Kong’s fashion set arrived wearing flats (a definite first) to celebrate and become inspired by Blake’s “one for one” movement.  We sipped wine, feasted on mini sliders, checked out the ultra cool DIY display, and even had the opportunity to challenge Blake to a game of foosball.  Go to Lane Crawford IFC to check out the new collection of shoes and sunglasses, and make sure to purchase! Who doesn’t love fashion for a good cause?!

Maison Scotch jacket, Stolen Girlfriends Club shorts on sale at Christing C., H&M tank, and Toms shoes courtesy of Lane Crawford.

It’s starting to feel like a European summer here in Hong Kong.  Goodbye to humidity and unbearable heat, and a warm welcome to bright sunshine and cool breezes.  The boy are in the habit of lunch breaks at the neighborhood park.  Coffees, brownies, and a harbour view is the perfect way to pass a slow hour.

Happy Saturday!

JJ aka The Wanderlister and I.  JJ is wearing Hill Menswear and Toms shoes.

Me: Forever 21 Sandals. Stylein top, Bec & Bridge skirt, and Mischa Clutch all available at Christing C.
Indulgent, satisfying days like these are capable of erasing every stressful memory or worry.  The boy and I usually sway towards long weekend holidays, uncertain of leaving home and work for too long, but this was a necessary exception.  Be prepared for many more days of white sand, blue sky infused photos and general documentation of lazy behaviour.
