I heart date nights with the boy.  Over ordering at new Peruvian restaurant Chicha, running through incessant rain fall.  musing over cocktail menus, cozy corners in dimly lit wine bars, and general banter that doesn’t require a second of self concious behaviour.

One big long weekend complete with a dress-up party, typhoon warnings, gigantic pizzas and an impromptu late night meal with my dad… too bad Instagram was broken and I could barely document ;-P

Looking forward to a lazy Monday away from towering skyscrapers and an abundance of red cabs.  Off to bed for now!  More tomorrow!

Date night with the boy is so essential after 48 hours of craziness with friends.  I wore my comfiest knitwear and dined on our favourite steak with a side of wine.  Catching up, dying over the best apple crumble, laughing about nothing, and going to bed early is probably the best way to spend a Monday night.

What happens when it rains outside and you still want to outfit post.  The beanie is compeletely unwearable in Hong Kong, but I just had to add it for the pictures because if I was in London this is how I would wear it 😉

Some weeks are so overwhelming that waves of doubt and emotion drag you into a subtle slumber.  You barely remember what passed, or the exact direction you are heading, only that you must keep moving forward.  Fresh air feels sickly thick, and you struggle to shake out of the half dream.  Being thrawted into a million responsibilities and finding it impossible to find balance and space for it all.

Private kitchens are a dining concept that is taking over Hong Kong’s social gatherings.  Due to minature kitchens, shoebox apartments, and everyone’s obsession with eating out, private kitchen dining is Hong Kong’s answer to the housewife’s dinner party.  They come in all sizes, cuisines, levels of intimacy, and can be as dressy or casual as ever.  Last night the boy and I were invited to sample the fancy, elegant version of this eating style and were pleasantly surprised.  I am not one for the causual, I’m dining in some stranger’s living room type restaurant, so Casa is definitely the private kitchen for me.  Intimate, delicious, chic, and stylish.  The portions were reasonable enough that a bodycon dress wouldn’t be out of the question, and I am always partial to a seafood heavy menu.

If you are interested in food pictures and reviews, stay tuned for the boy’s take on the experience, which will be featured on Hungry Hong Kong and The Wanderlister later this week!

The boy finally returned last night and I welcomed him back to the city in true Hong Kong style.  Or what we generally do in Hong Kong.  First we stopped in at the ultra cool Wyman x Izzue event titled “I’ve got nothing to wear.” hosted by I.T. The venue was awash in glow in the dark neon, models with nothin to wear, and dissambled manniquins in haphazard positions.  We sipped champagne, gawked with intent at the exhibition, and departed after 30 minutes to satisfy our fish taco and wine craving at California Vintage.   In the same night we also managed to dine at our preferred Japanese resto, The Mon, sipped lychee cocktails and wine at The Pawn, and stumbled home for a late night snack and chat.  I guess jetlag must be contagious because I slept until 2pm today as well.  Oops.

Thank you all so much for voting and getting me through to Round 3 of Asos Future Stylist!!

Here is my “sporty look.  Like many I was immediately attracted to the sports jersey inspired tees on Isabel Marant’s S/S12 runway, and fell instantly head over heels for this Wildfox version.  I trekked in the muddy grass to take these shots, and am assured this Maison Scotch parka will be the perfect companion through Hong Kong’s moody rainy season.

Please click to vote for me and help me get through to Round 4!! There are only 8 of us left!! You can vote once a day and don’t forget to “like” Asos on Facebook first!

Thank you sooo much!!
