Doubt can manifest into one of the most unbearable emotions, constantly eating away at your every thought. What begins as logical, thoughtful, and careful, can easily slip into fear and foreboding. It’s pull is often so forceful you feel physically incapable of taking that exhilarating leap into the unknown. I despise second guessing decisions, running each “yes” and “no” on repeat in my mind, but in the face of doubt, certainty fades and is replaced with an unpleasant dread. Though the feeling is faint it paints on your daily tasks, litters your dreams with agitation, and steals the excitement which accompanies shiny new ventures. So for now I’m pushing doubt aside and trading it for a more endurable, cautious.

Arrived in Hong Kong only to discover we were annoyingly locked out of the apartment five minutes before our expected dinner time. Agitating situations can sometimes turn into unlikely revelations. We are now down the street from home at an extremely cute boutique hotel finding the entire situation hilarious. As much as I love this gigantic bed, we are hoping to go home asap!

Lobster and sushi poolside, hunting for unique finds at vast Chinese markets, watching movies on a fluffy bed of pillows, packing and planning for Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, late night dinners at grimy streetside cafes, trying for days void of hangovers, and party planning for a million occasions. I think I need to find time to sleep.

After a pretty hectic week, and going through a few too many stressful episodes, I was beyond ready for a break. My Dad’s place greeted us with welcoming sunshine and it seems summer has come to China earlier than usual. Good friends, yummy dinners, and a pool to lounge beside is pretty essential de-stressing material. Life has thrown in a few twists, but I think we are now heading towards the right direction. Packing and planning for Australia next week!! Who else is going to be at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week?! I can’t wait!!
