Horace mesh jacket and leather vest, Sass & Bide shorts, Zara tee.
Trying my best to stay awake and not miss the boy.  I left him behind for an extra two weeks while I returned to a beautiful Hong Kong spring.  Now my only tasks are to slumber at reasonable hours, catch up on a million emails, stay away from drunken behaviour for a few days, and partake in catch up dates with my blogger buddies.  Please excuse the sunnies after sunset.  You did not want to see my pale, jetlagged face today.  More tomorrow!!

One Teaspoon top and shorts, Carin Wester backpack available at Christing C.

Sundays are meant for lazy behaviour, plenty of wine, and early bedtimes.  The boy and I tried Jamie’s Italian for the first time and devoured the most delectable cockles linguine, shared a gigantic cheese platter, and continued our slow afternoon way past sunset.  We were cozily asleep far before midnight and even managed to giggle at random British reality television we happily overlooked while in Hong Kong.  Only one more night before departure.  See you soon Hong Kong!

Stylein Enchanted Dress and Mara Hoffman cardigan (both on sale at Christing C.), Horace leather vest, and Cheap Monday wedges.

London Fashion Week has come to a close and I now have time for catch up dates, shopping sprees, long brunches, and reminiscent walks with the boy.  I have loved this trip to London, which has been inspiring and exceedingly exciting.  We have lots of exciting things coming up for both Fashion Hedonism and Christing C. and hopefully more frequent trips to one of my favourite cities.
I’m off to enjoy my last few days before heading back to Hong Kong.

We are here! Enjoying the cold air, already caught up with two of my absolute favourite people ever, ate the most delicious organic rustic meals, drank wine all day, and slept for what seems like forever.  I feel charged and pumped for fashion week.

Found this perfect vintage coat for £40 at Beyond Retro.  It won’t fit into my suitcase, way too hot to wear in Hong Kong, is a little too heavy for comfort, but who could ignore the Almost Famous resemblance.  Anything Penny Lane would wear is always good enough for me.

More tomorrow!

It has been an insanely relaxed weekend and I’m a little too sleepy to let it end.  I love having friends accompany me to my Dad’s sanctuary, or as they say the “ChristingC Compound,” for bonding time away from the crowded city.  I’m not sure if it’s the air, absence of credit card transactions, free flow food and wine, or the fact that there is never a single chance you could bump into a familiar face, but this place defines the word chill.  I stomp around in my pajamas and wet hair, you daily brain power is used to decide between a massage or facial, and the meals are guaranteed to be fresh and delicious.  It’s always nice to reveal another side of yourself, to shed every vanity, to lose pretentious behaviour, and share this little piece of my life and family with new friends.  Come back soon 😀

Stolen Girlfriends Club split up skirt (on sale at Christing C.) Jeffrey Campbell boots, Egoist tank, random denim shirt.

Sometimes I wonder when everyone became so dramatic.  As a child you believe it’s so easy.  The formula is so mundane and enforced, there isn’t any courage to reach outside that box.  Go to school, find a job, locate a husband, create a family.  Live in a mediocre/nice house, have dinner at 6pm, go on vacation once a year to somewhere that can provide sunshine, preferably Hawaii.  Was it like that in your suburb in the middle of somewhere America?  At the age of fifteen I quickly hopped out of that box, took the first opportunity to shock those around me and I guess I have been thrashing at those boundaries since.  If you tell me this isn’t a real job, if you tell me I’m old enough to do certain things, if you try to make me grow up, I will fight with you even more.   Maybe we are dramatic because it’s more interesting.  Maybe it makes it easier to find your way.  Maybe you should just stop to listen.  Would you rather be a little lost and fragile, than what they told you to be?

Asos shorts and boyfriend beanie.  One Teaspoon kimono via Asos.

I am so excited to tell you guys that I have been selected to compete in the 2012 ASOS Future Stylist competition!

Click here to vote for me!!

Here is my first look.  The theme of the round one was “dressing up denim” and to choose a piece from Asos’ sweetly bright “candy box denim” collection.  I predictably lunged for the bright, neon pink shorts and gave the outfit a grunge feel by pairing the cute shorts with a slouchy beanie and over sized kimono.
Please vote for me by clicking on the link HERE!!  And the best part is voting instantly enters you in a chance to win a £200 Asos gift certificate!! Just click on the link, like the Asos Facebook Page, and vote for me 🙂
Come back tomorrow for special Asos giveaway!

Thank you so much for your support!!

Bodkin Catalyst top (on sale at Christing C.) H&M shorts, Kain tank, Asos beanie.
Preparations are in full gear here in Hong Kong and everyone is awaiting their Chinese New Year celebration.  The boy and I are all packed and ready to cross the busy border into China to spend the holiday with the family.  I’m anticipating copious platters of steaming traditional cuisine, wine flowing in abuandance, laughter ringing throughout the night, fire crackers popping into the early am, playful attempts at gambling, and a few festive red envelopes.
Kung Hei Fat Choy!!
Don’t forget to shop the Christing C. sale!! Up to 60% off online… and it’s almost over!
