Do you ever get bored of the same thing.  Doing things that are meant to be exciting, only to find that it falters just slightly below expectation?  Hong Kong is one of those cities that moves at warp speed, a million events litter your calendar each week, and champagne flows as freely as possible if you can get your foot through that door.  Each and every face is familiar, when you see them at the restaurant/bar/store of the moment, and air kisses are given on a minute to minute basis.  It’s pretty impossible to walk down the street without bumping into friends, and one is never quite sure if a casual dinner is actually going to be about business.  You create the dream lifestyle only to miss something simpler.  I am starting to crave the juicy cheeseburger I ordered at Electric Brasserie at least three times a week, having friends I could text at a moment’s notice to meet for cheap wine and frivoulous tipsy conversation, cozy coffee dates that turn into early am cocktails, and quiet date nights with the boy.  I miss talking about everything and nothing, blindly trusting with all my secrets.  A social life void of comparing followers, diets, or all of the above. Hmmm it’s not as bad as it sounds, but sometimes I feel like hiding.

Ever since the cool wind hit me in Europe, I’ve been dreaming about a white winter. The exact kind when three layers feels like nothing, a steaming hot cappuccino is actual relief, and gigantic fireplaces host the most romantic nights. I am wishing for the anticipation that swells when you look out your window on a especially frosty morning, crossing your fingers for the slightest bit of snow. I miss the actual task of unravelling a cozy scarf, the insane cold against my cheeks and nose, seeking refuge in a pub for hours just to avoid walking outdoors, and warming your feet against the one you love. Oh winter. How I took you for granted and resented you each year. Now I miss you more than ever.

H&M hat and tank, Alexander Wang bag, Topshop shorts.
Mechanically working my way through errands, emails, work, and a bit more work.  Craving a long run, but too lazy to actually follow through.  Wondering if wine or sleep is a better option for tonight.
Maybe a little of both 😉

Stolen Girlfriends Club skirt available at Christing C. H&M bikini, Asos sandals, and Forever 21 cuffs.

Yesterday’s after beach look.  I’m not sure why I look so ridiculously dark in these images as my tan has not quite reached that stage.  Maybe by the end of the trip 😉 It’s raining in paradise today, but the boy and I are finding it quite refreshing after several days in the sand.  Time for a few long meals and many lazy cocktails.

Insight Kimono now available at Christing C.  Forever 21 top and sandals, One Teaspoon shorts, and Cindiddy x Matahari clutch available at I.T.

The sunsets in Boracay have successfully achieved most of the memorable moments during this trip.  I am not one that swoons for perfect views and scenery, but involuntary goosebumps and incessant staring definitely takes place each evening when the sun descends into the horizon.  The boy and I worked out that we can live like a prince and princess for $70 USD a day here.  I think relocation is a possibility.  Lol.

Just a quick make-up post to show you guys a fun new collection I tried at the Dior store before heading off on holiday.  The new Croisette range by Dior is the perfect pallette for sun kissed skin.  I am more partial to the bronze tones which suit my everyday look, but the turquoise blues are a fun for expermenting on a night out.  I am slightly sensitive towards eye glosses, but contrary to how they look, these perfectly shimmery colours are light and very sheer.  I also couldn’t get enough of the juicy, orange lip glosses which are my go to lip shade during summer months.

All available now at Dior!

This week has been all an Alexander Wang street party, Vernissage at Art HK, and a Saturday night with Isabel Marant.  No joke.  I just want to say that I am loving the photo booth/flipbook trend that seems to be present at every event.  Almost as essential as champagne.  Party planners take note.  Happy Sunday and goodnight!

P.S. check out all the new arrivals at Christing C.  I’m beyond excited about the amazing Stolen Girlfriends Club collection.

Laterss.
