We were instantly greeted by calm crystal clear waters and a long expanse of white sand beach as soon as we arrived at the five star resort. The vibrant island is both welcoming and stylish featuring a large variety of luxurious rooms and facilities for the well traveled guest. For a true Maldives experience book an overwater villa and find yourself perched above the idyllic ocean and an abundance of marine life. We loved having a private pool where we could relax after an activity filled day and the modern rooms are large enough for those travelling with young children.

We loved partaking in the exciting dolphin cruise, kayaking along the stunning shores, and spending lazy days on a hammock admiring the view. Snorkelling is a must during your stay where you’ll spot plenty of tropical fish, baby sharks, and even stingrays. Kids will love joining in the excitement at Kandiland, the resort’s fully staffed Kids Club. Not only did they have fun splashing around, there were art projects, movie nights, and plenty of time for exploration around the island. Make sure to rent a bike for the duration of your stay and pedal beneath the palms to your island destination. Spend tranquil days beside the inviting Breeze Pool set right at the turquoise blue oceanfront. Other highlights of our stay included cocktail making, amazing live music each evening, and epic sunsets during a relaxed happy hour.
Dining options are endless at Kandima. You have the option of two buffet restaurants, a la carte dining, cafes and snack shops, as well as fine dining for your special evenings. You’ll never go hungry and they have a variety of world cuisines to suit all tastes and appetites. We loved the memorable dinner at Smoked where the semi outdoor tables overlooked an ocean view and the glittering moon and were honestly blown away by the consistent quality at each restaurant. The buffets varied every day and there were live cooking stations so you could choose your dishes to be made to order. Children’s options were always available and staff were more than happy to cater to any dietary requirements or special requests.
