Finally the weekend is here and I am allowed to spend an entire morning lounging around not really thinking about anything at all.  The unusually cold day is causing me to retreat further into hibernation mode, hoping to avoid all social interactions.  Sometimes it’s easier just to spend time with the boy while ignoring anything and anyone in between.  Currently taking any favourite cartoon recommendations.  We are addicted to watching animation while hungover.  The more vintage the better.

Stylein dress on sale at Christing C., Christian Louboutin boots.

rated our fifth year anniversary with my love.  I chose a simple dress slightly resembling a slip and my favourite Christian Louboutin booties.  We sampled Hong Kong’s latest trendy dining spot, Brickhouse, and laughed over tacos, margaritas, and memories.  We always forgo gifts, cards, and anything traditional or yawn inducing in exchange for jointly booked holidays, dinners, and shopping sprees.  The perfect chilled night for a perfectly chilled couple.

JJ aka The Wanderlister and I.  JJ is wearing Hill Menswear and Toms shoes.

Me: Forever 21 Sandals. Stylein top, Bec & Bridge skirt, and Mischa Clutch all available at Christing C.
Indulgent, satisfying days like these are capable of erasing every stressful memory or worry.  The boy and I usually sway towards long weekend holidays, uncertain of leaving home and work for too long, but this was a necessary exception.  Be prepared for many more days of white sand, blue sky infused photos and general documentation of lazy behaviour.

Stylein Rose top and Stolen Girlfriends Club wrap shorts both available at Christing C.
Alexander Wang bag, F21 bangles, Rolex watch and Jeffrey Campbell boots.

Chilling out in bed on a Monday is essential to my weekly schedule.  I cannot re-start without a few hours to do just about nothing.  My current lazy habits include devouring large bowls of udon in bed, greedily consuming novels courtesy of iBooks, shiver inducing air conditioning paired with searing hot tea, and waking the boy during my fits of insomnia to tell him tidbits about my random non-important musings.

Speak soon!

Private kitchens are a dining concept that is taking over Hong Kong’s social gatherings.  Due to minature kitchens, shoebox apartments, and everyone’s obsession with eating out, private kitchen dining is Hong Kong’s answer to the housewife’s dinner party.  They come in all sizes, cuisines, levels of intimacy, and can be as dressy or casual as ever.  Last night the boy and I were invited to sample the fancy, elegant version of this eating style and were pleasantly surprised.  I am not one for the causual, I’m dining in some stranger’s living room type restaurant, so Casa is definitely the private kitchen for me.  Intimate, delicious, chic, and stylish.  The portions were reasonable enough that a bodycon dress wouldn’t be out of the question, and I am always partial to a seafood heavy menu.

If you are interested in food pictures and reviews, stay tuned for the boy’s take on the experience, which will be featured on Hungry Hong Kong and The Wanderlister later this week!

Tickets are booked and I’m ready to go! We are off to London next week.  Departure date is Valentine’s Day.  I can’t think of a better way to spend the day than in the air with the boy, flying back to the place where we fell in love.  Can’t wait for a cold stroll down Portobello Road, long dinners with the boy at Electric Brasserie, spending an insane amount in less than twenty minutes at Topshop Oxford Circus, blogger friends and shows at London Fashion Week, gigantic cappuccinos and a stack of my favourite magazines at our regular coffee stop, cocktail fueled nights with old friends, and catching up with a million and one people.  It’s been wayy too long!
