Forever 21 Macau

I was super excited back when Forever 21 opened its doors in HK and was lucky enough to collaborate with them on a fun blogger project, so when I heard they were launching their 2nd store in Macau we couldn’t resist hopping on a ferry to check out the grand opening. The new store boasts just under 20,000 sq ft over several floors right on the front steps of the beautiful Ruins of St Paul. We’ve always loved exploring that area of Macau with it’s numerous local eats, cute shops, and unique architecture. After sipping champagne to celebrate F21’s grand opening we spent the night hanging out at our 5* hotel, enjoying cocktails while admiring the view, and finishing up with a room service binge. A much needed mini break for the boy and I. Make sure to check out the new store on your next visit.

Funday

Restaurants: Posto Publicco on Elgin Street and Jean-Paul Hevin on Lyndhurst Terrace.

Sunday Funday. It’s almost routine by now. Random stroll around Soho, late Italian lunch with an abundance of prosecco at Posto Publicco, and then my favorite chocolate cake from Jean-Paul Hevin to finish off the day.

Saying goodnight just after the clock strikes twelve and giving myself a little shove towards an insanely busy week. I am taking giant, shaking steps out of my comfort zone in hopes of pulling my goals a little closer. Being allergic to competition and quitting before I even start is a habit I am hoping to shake. Maybe not all the way, but enough to allow myself success.

Blue Butcher

Tried one of Hong Kong’s many new “it” restaurants tonight. Blue Butcher, the place to be if you are a meatlover, is housed in a split level New York style loft on Hollywood Road. Slotted right between Press Room and Classified, Blue Butcher is in good company and a necessary addition to Sheung Wan’s ever expanding restaurant selection. The boy obsessed over the bone marrow, Wagyu Ribeye, and cheese platter while I happily consumed all three courses of mussels, beef tenderloin, and perfect grannysmith apple crumble. Probably will not be ordering three courses again but will definitely be heading their way anytime I’m craving a juicy steak!

Some weeks are so overwhelming that waves of doubt and emotion drag you into a subtle slumber. You barely remember what passed, or the exact direction you are heading, only that you must keep moving forward. Fresh air feels sickly thick, and you struggle to shake out of the half dream. Being thrawted into a million responsibilities and finding it impossible to find balance and space for it all.
