The five star resort features a huge variety of activities and boasts one of the largest kids clubs in the Maldives.  Our children spent hours with the incredible team partaking in a long list of activities and play fun and engaging games.  We enjoyed watersports, free snorkel equipment, and an unforgettable dolphin cruise with Sub-Oceanic during our stay.  The main swimming pool and bar was a great spot for congregating with friends, enjoying cocktails, and there were plenty of DJ sessions and pool parties to please the social guests.  The state of the art fitness centre was perfect for working off all the delicious meals and the tranquil yoga sala created a serene and calm space during sunrise and sunset.  We also enjoyed an indulgent couples massage in the beautiful spa complete with luxe overwater treatment rooms.

Dining experiences are a huge highlight with a varied gourmet buffet at Habitat to ambient dinners under the stars at Beach Shack, and delicious poolside dining at Aura.  Origin headed by Sicilian chef Silvio Zaccareo, is a must for gourmet Italian fare and stands as one of our highly rated menus in the Maldives.

We were so excited to return to Club Med Kani for a second time.  The picturesque Maldives property is just a short boat ride from the international airport and brings all of Club Med’s vibrancy and service to paradise.  As always the friendly staff gave us the warmest welcome before reacquainting us with the resort’s facilities and showing us to our modern and comfortable beach villas.  The kids loved being just steps from the stunning clear blue ocean and we enjoyed the privacy of the villas while being within easy access to all the facilities.

Our second time back to Summer Island Maldives and it’s even more stunning than I remember.  The private and picturesque resort is an amazing price point for the barefoot luxury property.  The Premium Beach Villas are modern and comfortable complete with rustic outdoor bath, nightly turndown service, and just steps from the white sand beach.  Summer Island boasts amazing dining experiences from private beach dinners to bbqs in the sand, a full international buffet, and romantic overwater bar and restaurant.  We love the idyllic infinity pool and Nevi Bar is a beautiful relaxed spot to hang out at sunset with cocktails and live music.

The Blue Lagoon Project at Summer Island started in 2018 when the resort installed the world’s largest 3D printed coral reef at the Blue Lagoon right off the arrival jetty.  The island has one of the most abundant and lively house reefs we’ve experienced and they’ve done an amazing job at rehabilitating the coral that was damaged due to climate change.  Summer Island’s admirable eco efforts mean they don’t use single use plastics and utilise solar energy to ensure the preservation of their paradise.

It’s truly one of our favourite properties as a family and an incredibly tranquil and welcoming island.  The hospitality is friendly and accommodating and the natural beauty ensures you get a true taste of Maldives beauty.
