The Headland Villas, located on the southwestern corner of Koh Samui, features a collection of some of the most luxurious villas on the island. We were lucky enough to stay at Headland Villa 3 and the property was everything I wanted out of a dream home and more. The clean white beach wood design, sumptuous details, and use of indoor and outdoor space felt both romantic and serene. Designed with style, comfort, and luxury in mind, you’ll relax from the minute you set foot on the property. We loved the family friendly bedrooms with a connecting master bedroom and children’s room both featuring en-suite bathrooms and floor to ceiling glass doors where you could enjoy sea views. We spent most of our days in the idyllic infinity pool admiring the expansive sea views and white sand beaches. Only a few steps down a well maintained stairwell, we found the softest white sand, crystal clear waters, and even a small coral where we spotted plenty of colourful fish. The villa is fully staffed which means everything from a private chef or in-villa massage is right at your fingertips. The third bedroom is perched above the living area for maximum privacy, and where I enjoyed massages and time alone to read and write. Ever and River felt right at home in the large open lounge and dining area and every evening we were treated to incredible sunsets from the outdoor terrace. Every corner of Villa 3 is perfectly placed and utilized for the guest to enjoy its luxury and tranquility. We loved it as a family stay but couples would equally fall for the stylish space and picturesque location. I can’t recommend The Headland Villas more and truly believe it’s an amazing alternative to staying at a five star hotel. You’ll receive all the service and decadence you crave while finding peace and beauty in a unique villa and stunning locale.

I would have never thought Nikki Beach Koh Samui would be a family friendly holiday destination but our stay at the luxury five star resort was not only loved by Dan and I but had the kids singing their praises. From lively and engaging Sunday Brunches to private pool villas, a stylish beach club, and amazing dining destinations you’ll be spoilt with things to do and amazing food to eat. We loved being on picturesque Lipa Noi Beach where you can truly enjoy the best sunsets on the island. Our decadent and isolated pool villa was ideal for a small family with sea views, large private pool, two sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, and an inviting outdoor dining area where we enjoyed decadent daily breakfasts and a mouthwatering in villa bbq prepared by their talented Executive Chef. Days can be spent enjoying the live DJ at their signature beach club and Ever and River never went without a daily visit to the fun and well equipped kids club. Parents can indulge in tranquil massages or a romantic date night as childcare is always available and we highly recommend Escape, the boho luxe beachfront restaurant where you’ll eat irresistible fare and enjoy crisp rose wine while watching the sky transform into a pink and orange dream. The staff consistently go out of their way to ensure each guest’s personalized needs are met and we loved all the luxurious details throughout the resort. Honeymooners should definitely book the Penthouse Suites boasting sweeping views and an indulgent bed and bathtub that will make it hard to leave the room. From big groups of friends to couples or those with kids, Nikki Beach Koh Samui will ensure you have a stay of a lifetime. We loved the sweeping views which can be seen throughout the villa and the inviting staff who ensured our stay ran smoothly. The Luxe Nomad’s villas are fully staffed and even give the option of a private chef so you can fully unwind and enjoy. The kids loved the large open spaces and and spent hours splashing in the refreshing pool. Family dinners and stunning sunsets were our favourite part of every evening and we slept so well being away from any crowds and noise. Stepping into Silavadee Resort is like entering a luxurious island dream. From the moment you are greeted upon arrival until the wave goodbye you are treated like royalty. The staff were eager and welcoming to our family and practiced the highest hygiene standards during check-in and throughout the resort. I instantly fell for traditional yet grand design and settled quickly into our luxurious Two Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villa Suite. Boasting two large en-suite bedrooms, sumptuous king size beds, an insanely large bathtub with a view, refreshing outdoor shower overlooking the ocean, and spacious areas to dine and lounge, we found it hard to ever leave the villa. The expansive infinity pool was perched beautifully on a cliff edge overlooking Silavadee’s picturesque secret beach and the crystal waters crashing over Koh Samui’s famous boulders. It was a true escape from reality and a place our family could relax and unwind.

If you are looking to explore Samui, Silavadee offers a free shuttle into vibrant Lamai where you can visit the white sand beach and shop along the local food markets and cute boutiques. We found there was plenty to do at the resort itself. We highly recommend a family visit to Silavadee’s organic farm where you can see first hand where much of their produce is grown. The resort’s executive chef walked us through the grounds before leading a fun cooking session with the kids. Private lunches are also served on the tranquil grounds and Ever and River loved meeting the resident animals and sharing veggies with them throughout our visit.

The resort’s secret beach is another beautiful place to spend the day. It’s fully serviced with plenty of activities for adults and kids. Choose an immersive snorkeling session, afternoon boxing, or just enjoy a cocktail in a hammock under the palm trees. We signed the kids up for private Muay Thai lessons and they loved every minute before returning to the sea for a splash and swim. For true relaxation, the spa is an unbeatable choice. They even have a children’s spa menu, so River and I indulged in a Mother and Son massage. I loved seeing him find tranquility after a big, busy day and it was an amazing bonding experience for us both.

For foodie families like us, you won’t be disappointed by the many dining options at Silavadee. Make sure to order a picture perfect in villa breakfast, grab sundowners and admire panoramic views at Star Bar and sample the irresistible menu at Moon Restaurant. Every menu was family friendly and they were quick to learn ours and our children’s preferences. The homemade ice cream is a must have and will keep your kids begging for more.

The memories we created at Silavadee were some of the best during our long stay on Koh Samui. The staff and resort were able to adapt seamlessly during a time when travel is just picking up again and we felt completely safe and peaceful during our time at the stunning resort. I can’t recommend it more to families or couples looking for five star luxury and an idyllic stay in Koh Samui.

Idyllic beachfront location, nestled among the coconut groves sits five star resort, X2 Koh Samui. The luxurious resort boasts spacious private pool villas, unbeatable modern facilities, and insanely mouthwatering dining experiences. We felt instantly at home in our two bedroom pool villas with plenty of space for a family of four. Days were spent in the gigantic main pool and exploring the white sand beach or indulging in room service and splashes in the privacy of our villa.

We couldn’t fault one dish served at 4K Restaurant from decadent breakfasts to fresh seafood BBQs, and elevated versions of our favourite Thai dishes. Known as a “Spa Retreat” you can’t miss a treatment or sumptuous massage at X2 Samui’s serene and tranquil spa. Guests also have the option of purchasing “All inclusive spa packages” for a chance to truly unwind.

Our time as a family was so memorable at this resort and staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and more. Service always came with a smile and we were all so sad to say goodbye. A perfect choice for families or couples looking for luxury and relaxation in beautiful Koh Samui.

We loved the comfortable and tranquil villas nestled on the lush green grounds and the close proximity to Koh Samui’s idyllic beaches. Ask about the best beach clubs, local restaurants, or in villa chefs. They can book it all and have the knowledge to ensure you’ll get the best and most suited to your preferences. We loved our decadent and comfortable stay at Wild Cottages and think it’s an ideal choice for long term stays and shorter holidays. From the moment I set foot on the grounds I knew we would enjoy our stay. From decadent bohemian design, beautifully manicured paths, serene and inviting villas, and an ultra cool beach club there’s not more you could want. Every corner of our villa was alluring to our senses and encouraged us to unwind and enjoy. The sunny plunge pool was great for dips after a day at the beach and the outdoor lounge area was tranquil for quiet evenings. We slept incredibly well in the plush king size bed and couldn’t get enough of the nostalgic outdoor shower. When we finally pulled ourselves away from the comforting villa our days were happily spent lounging in a rustic pool sala admiring the vibrant beachfront location and devouring mouthwatering fare at the boho chic Karma Beach Restaurant. Karma is located only a short walk from Fisherman’s Village and plenty of sandy beach bars which make Bophut so popular. An amazing choice for a luxurious stay with family or friends while visiting idyllic Koh Samui.
