Soho is always one if my favorite areas in NYC, so it was an easy first stop for our trip with the kids. We knew Hotel Hugo is in one of the best locations and the staff always make us feel at home so we booked a room for our family to enjoy the area and stylish boutique hotel. The accommodating staff ensured we had a car waiting upon our arrival and we travelled seamlessly to the inviting entrance. The cafe downstairs was a perfect spot for casual breakfasts, a coffee break after sightseeing, or even a work station throughout our stay. One of the main highlights of staying at Hotel Hugo is Bar Hugo and their rooftop. The epic NY skyline views, delicious cocktails, and addictive comfort food make for a fun night out. We were only a few blocks from all the shops of Soho, West Village, and even a short walk to Chelsea Market and The High Line. Other highlights of our stay included cocktail making, amazing live music each evening, and epic sunsets during a relaxed happy hour.

Dining options are endless at Kandima.  You have the option of two buffet restaurants, a la carte dining, cafes and snack shops, as well as fine dining for your special evenings.  You’ll never go hungry and they have a variety of world cuisines to suit all tastes and appetites.  We loved the memorable dinner at Smoked where the semi outdoor tables overlooked an ocean view and the glittering moon and were honestly blown away by the consistent quality at each restaurant.  The buffets varied every day and there were live cooking stations so you could choose your dishes to be made to order.  Children’s options were always available and staff were more than happy to cater to any dietary requirements or special requests.

Times Square was such an exciting place to take the kids on their first trip to NYC and M Social Times Square made the trip even more special. Located at the heart of all the action you’re only a short walk to the bright lights and sights of the area. M Social’s inviting lobby and lounge area is an ideal spot to gather after a day of sightseeing. The kids were very happy to see a Nintendo Switch, Foosball, and spacious terrace with views of Times Square. A long high top table creates a comfortable co-working space and the cozy couches are great for curling up with a book and coffee. Adjacent to the social space is their restaurant and bar, Butterflies and Beasts, where you can enjoy juicy steaks and lobster rolls paired with delicious cocktails. Our room was incredibly comfortable and modern with views of Times Square. For parents who have to get the kids to bed early, you will still have a clear view of the ball drop on NYE from their guest rooms if you can’t make it out to the party.

One of the main highlights of our stay was the many activities that kept us busy or relaxed depending on our moods. We got a great adrenaline rush jet skiing with the kids and loved swimming and snorkeling in the stunning lagoon. There were also dolphin cruises, kayaks, and a modern spa where we could enjoy tranquil massages after a fun filled day.

We were absolutely blown away by the Fairmont Maldives. Not only do they have some of the most stunning villas in the the islands but every aspect of the resort is created to give the guest the most luxurious and personalised experience. Service was impeccable in every dining outlet and poolside and we even had a butler who assisted us with any activity or restaurant booking, as well as ensuring all our needs were met throughout our trip.

The variety of villas range from one to three bedrooms and are available in both beachfront and overwater. Couples and families will find something that suit their needs and large villas with separate lounges mean that you can add extra bed for infants or toddlers without the worry of crowding. We loved the gigantic private pools and being only steps from the idyllic turquoise ocean. The bathroom was spacious and grand with a circular bathtub fit for royalty. Floating breakfasts are a must if you’re staying overwater, and the stylish design made our stay even more luxurious.

Guests can choose to relax and unwind in the privacy of their villas or take advantage of all the amazing activities on offer. Children can spend time in the unique and interactive Kids Club while parents indulge in a massage at the five star spa. Check out Azure for the most incredible seafood experience and stunning overwater location or head to Kata for a fun sushi making session. We were so impressed that the majority of the seafood was sourced locally from the reef and they were happy to always cater to any specific requests for our children.

Our first time visiting Dubai and I’m pretty sure we couldn’t have chosen a better place for this family getaway. Atlantis, The Palm is made for adventurous kids and will keep them excited and busy throughout your stay. From the impressive aquarium as soon as you enter to the sprawling water park and amazing dining outlets you be spoilt with choice. Atlantis, The Palm Checklist:

Aquaventure waterpark: Hop on the resort shuttle and get dropped off at Asia’s biggest waterpark. There’s an area for every age group including babies and families with children over 120cm can partake in all the adrenaline inducing fun. Our favourite ride was the group slide at Poseidon Tower.

The Lost Chambers: One of the most incredible aquariums we’ve visited to date. You get free entry as a hotel guest so go as many times as you like. We loved the Fish Tales Tour where the kids went behind the scenes with a marine biologist. We got the see shark eggs, baby sting rays, and learned about all the species at the aquarium, how they’re fed and cared for, and even their unique release program.

The Royal Pool: This is where you get that iconic photo of Atlantis’s unique architecture. There’s plenty of space to laze and swim and as the pool is so gigantic you never feel crowded. Lifeguards are on duty to ensure everyone’s safety and you’re just steps to the picturesque beach if you’re in the mood for sandcastles.

WaveHouse: Bowling, kids play area, buzzing ambiance, and mouthwatering comfort food, this spot makes meal time fun for all ages. It’s a great option for families who are looking for a casual venue and you seriously can’t beat those burgers and pizzas.

Seafire Steakhouse: For a memorable dinner or celebration head over to Seafire for our most decadent meal during our stay. We are a foodie family so loved the fresh shellfish and truly impressive selection of steaks. Even the Kids Menu serves mini filets.

Don’t forget to check out the Kids Club where children can sign up for fun activities throughout the day and of course the stunning sunset from the terrace of the Imperial Lounge. The rooms are spacious enough for a family of four or book a connecting room if you need. The ideal choice for a long weekend where the whole family can play and indulge.

Taj Exotica is one of my favorite islands in the Maldives. I was surprised to arrive at such a stunning and pristine resort located at the center of an idyllic lagoon while being only a short boat ride from the airport. The entire island is walkable, surrounded by picturesque white sand beaches, vibrant marine life, and lush sweeping palms. Our overwater villa was both grand and spacious complete with a large master bedroom, decadent bathroom, inviting lounge area where you can add extra beds for the kids, and a huge outdoor terrace with a refreshing private pool. We loved stepping into the crystal clear ocean right from our villa and snorkeling around the house reef as a family. Their indulgent floating breakfast is a must do during your stay and we enjoyed all their dining destinations including juicy burgers poolside and the unique overwater fine dining restaurant, Deep End. When we weren’t sunbathing, swimming, and exploring the island, we indulged in couples massages and sunset cocktails at their rustic and stylish bar. It was the ideal, intimate and luxurious island experience where you felt right at home in paradise.
