Puerto Plata is one of our favourite regions in the Dominican Republic and we were so excited to discover it with Emotions by Hodelpa Playa Dorada.   Set on stunning and picturesque beach you can’t beat the incredible location and serene ambiance.  We spent most of our days admiring the palm tree fringed views and swimming in the warm and inviting ocean, or relaxing on a private beach sun lounger with cocktail in hand.  A full service bar and a delicious restaurant are located right in the sand so you can ensure long days basking in the sun and the all inclusive services right at your fingertips.  The resort also boasts a variety of swimming pools perfect for the family traveller and a fun poolside bar where we could all grab our preferred tropical beverage.  Guestrooms are spacious and modern with private balconies and within easy reach of the plethora of facilities.  Our children loved the fun and lively kids’ activities and the challenging rock climbing wall, and made plenty of friends in the engaging Kids Club.   Food options were varied and delicious from a tempting buffet to intimate beach dinners with the unforgettable sunset as your backdrop.  We also highly recommend booking a day trip to the historic center where you can see the amazing architecture, vibrant Umbrella Street, and sample plenty of local eats.  The helpful team arranged private transport and useful information to ensure we had the best time in the resort and exploring the surrounding area.  If you’re hoping for a fun-filled family getaway in popular Puerto Plata, Emotions by Hodelpa is an optimal and affordable all inclusive option.
