The Slate Phuket is a beautiful stylish boutique hotel located at the heart of Nai Yang Beach.  Step into the stunning immaculately designed lobby and become immersed in five star hospitality.  We love the variety of family suites and pool villas alongside mouthwatering dining options.  Kids will enjoy the array of fun indoor and outdoor activities set up by the fully staffed kids club and picturesque Nai Yang Beach is just steps from the resort’s back gate.  Days can be spent at the sprawling lagoon pool or adults only swimming pool if you aren’t travelling as a family.  The decadent spa is one of the best in Phuket and you can’t miss a dinner at the romantic and mouthwatering Black Ginger.  An amazing choice which fuses Thai culture with modern design for a memorable five star stay.

One of our favourite family friendly five star resorts in Phuket.  Intercontinental Phuket is a sprawling property located on Kamala Beach. Choose from serene mountain view rooms or stunning seafront views. We love the variety of swimming pools, stylish private beach and wide array of eateries sure to please the foodie traveller.  Their new fine dining restaurant, Hom, is a must dine spot and one of the best meals we’ve had in Thailand.  Our children loved the fully staffed Kids Club with a schedule of engaging and educational activities.  We even utilised the babysitting service  and were throughly pleased with the kind, professional, and friendly service.  If you’re looking for luxury, style, and prime location it’s hard to beat the Intercontinental for your next Phuket beach getaway.

Hotel 1899 brings together Japanese tradition and modern luxury to create boutique accommodation for the discerning traveller.  We loved the open and light guestrooms complete with five star amenities, deep soaking bathtubs, and comfortable beds.  The staff are friendly and informative ensuring guests have all they need throughout their stay.  The lobby houses a gift shop where you can pick up artisanal Japanese tea and hotel guests are treated to a matcha tea ceremony.  Chaya, on the ground floor, serves mouthwatering healthy Japanese fare and we loved the buffet breakfast each morning compete with local specialties, freshly baked pastries and fragrant coffee and tea.  Located in the Shinbashi area you’re within walking distance to a vibrant neighborhood as well as a subway which allows easy transportation to all the sights of Tokyo.  A perfect choice for those who crave modern luxury and Japanese charm in a tranquil boutique property.

Mesm Tokyo where art meets luxury at the heart of Tokyo.  Stunning guestrooms with private balconies, a working piano, and panoramic city views.  Unforgettable dining experiences, five star service, and amazing location near Tokyo Tower.  We loved the luxurious touches like a decadent bathtub and in room amenities, drip coffee and matcha making kit, and stylish details throughout. The lobby offered a stylish ambiance serving  afternoon tea and we couldn’t resist the mouthwatering Romeo & Juliet inspired dinner at Chef’s Theatre.  Service was impeccable throughout our stay and we loved the optimal location for exploring all Tokyo had to offer.

Come with us to explore Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.

This area has been gaining traction with a younger travel crowd and is a fun spot for families to immerse in local culture.

We stayed at Mustard Hotel which was stylish, modern and the perfect location for exploring the area.

Reload, located right next door, is a complex full of boutiques, cafes, and restaurants, and even a yoga studio and trendy barber.

Shimokitazawa is known for its huge variety of vintage shops which you’ll find on every corner and all the amazing cafes local eats. There are even playgrounds scattered around the neighborhood.

A must visit spot in Tokyo!

The Peninsula Tokyo, one of the city’s most luxurious properties, is firm favorite for our family when visiting Tokyo.  The stunning suites boast spectacular views, a spacious lounge and dining area, and sumptuous master bedroom and bathroom.  We always enjoy dining experiences at The Peninsula, from juicy Wagyu steaks at Peter or Chinese fine dining at Hei Fung Terrace.  The in-room breakfast is a decadent treat with Japanese, Chinese or Western options and we were very excited to sample the famous ramen from Ippudo in the comfort of our suite.  The hotel is optimally located beside the Imperial Palace and Hibiya Park and you can rest assured you’ll receive the best five star service at this trusted world class property. Perfect if you’re visiting Tokyo for business or pleasure.

Conrad Tokyo offers modern luxury and five star service at the heart of the buzzing city.  We loved the hotel’s incredible views, spacious suites, and mouthwatering dining options.  Each day we started with a delicious feast at the breakfast buffet before exploring the city.  You can easily reach all of Tokyo’s popular sights from Conrad’s front steps and staff are always on hand to assist with recommendations or transport.  A huge highlight of our stay was the decadent suites complete with gigantic bathtub, city views, and luxury amenities.  There was enough space to add extra beds for little ones and the service was impeccable throughout.  China Blue is a must dine spot in the hotel for modern Chinese cuisine and ideal for celebrations.  Highly recommended for trusted five star quality and personalized service in a sophisticated and modern property.

MIMARU is the perfect family friendly hotel located in the heart of Tokyo.  Their spacious and modern rooms  are functional and affordable with luxury details and exceptional service. Our suite slept up to six people and incorporated two separate bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with bathtub, and smart projector screen in the living area. Our kids loved having bunk beds and the hotel provided a plethora of amenities including pajamas, slippers, toiletries, and tea and coffee.  On the 2nd Floor staff are on hand to assist with any questions or reservations, and there’s also self service luggage storage and an open social space where you can enjoy take-out food or meet with friends.  The ground floor houses the main entrance and a 7-11 which we used for breakfast and snacks daily.  We were within easy walking distance to Tokyo Station, plenty of local restaurants, and transport links to explore the city.  A perfect choice for families and groups looking for modern comfort and optimal location while visiting Tokyo.

We loved exploring Sapporo’s Susukino district with OMO Hotels.  The rooms were modern and clean with an amazing rainfall shower and unlimited amenities.  OMO’s goal is for all their guests to have then best trip possible while immersing with the local culture.  Sapporo had a vibrant food culture and OMO Rangers were on hand for daily info sessions and walking tours around the area.  They helped us find hidden gems in the surrounding area and can even assist in hard to obtain reservations at popular restaurants.  You can also check out their GO-KINJO interactive map, located in the lobby, which has tried and tested spots by all the staff.  A QR code helps you locate each spot on your phone making it that much easier to explore.  Book a special package that includes vouchers for the Sapporo’s historic Ramen Alley.  There you can try a variety of the city’s popular miso ramen and soak in the ambiance of the buzzing hotspot.  Each morning we indulged in onigiri, sandwiches, and freshly brewed coffee at OMO’s Food and Beverage station.  Open 24 hours a day you’ll find locally produced snacks and drinks and plenty of social spaces to enjoy the fare and relax with family and friends.  The staff at OMO consistently went out of their way to ensure our family had a stay to remember.  From translating to locating transport and even sending our luggage to the next destination.  Everything was always done with a helpful and warm smile.  A perfect choice if you want to see the local side of Sapporo and explore off the tourist track.

Chalet Ivy is the ideal family friendly choice when traveling to Niseko.  Located just a few minutes walk from the world famous slopes you’ll be sure to have a stay to remember.  We loved the spacious and open suites featuring private balconies, full kitchens, and onsen bathtubs.  Chalet Ivy’s dining experiences are incredible using fresh Hokkaido ingredients to create impressive omakase menus as well as casual meals.  We made full use of the hotel’s well equipped gym and complimentary laundry room and the indoor and outdoor onsens were a calming sanctuary after a day of skiing.  Private Onsen rooms are available for a tranquil bathing experience as a family and a free shuttle is on hand for all guests to access the ski lifts and nearby train station. Their friendly staff are on hand to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay and eager to make recommendations or answer any questions. One of our favorite spots for family stays in Hokkaido.
