Siem Reap is a city full of rich history, vibrant culture, and countless adventures—perfect for a family getaway. We recently stayed at Park Hyatt Siem Reap, and it quickly became the highlight of our trip. This five-star hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and local charm, making it an ideal place for families to relax and explore. From spacious rooftop suites to immersive cultural experiences, Park Hyatt truly feels like a destination within a destination.
One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the Rooftop Garden Suite. Perched high above the city, this spacious suite offered breathtaking views of Siem Reap and the surrounding landscape. The private terrace was a great spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing, where we could sip drinks and watch the sun set over the city. Inside, the suite was both luxurious and family-friendly, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The living area was cozy and beautifully decorated, while the comfortable king-size bed and spacious marble bathroom (complete with both a rain shower and bathtub) offered ultimate relaxation after a busy day.
After visiting the nearby temples and exploring Siem Reap, the hotel’s two swimming pools were the perfect place to cool off and unwind. For an added treat, be sure to book a massage at the world-class spa. The spa’s peaceful ambiance was a perfect escape from the bustling city.
Park Hyatt Siem Reap truly shines when it comes to dining. As a family, we enjoyed a variety of culinary experiences that catered to both adults and children. One of our most memorable evenings was the Apsara Dinner, where we enjoyed a delicious Khmer tasting menu while being entertained by vibrant traditional performances. It was a fun and cultural evening that we won’t forget.
For something more interactive, don’t miss the Le Petit Chef Dinner. This immersive dining experience was a huge hit with our kids! It’s a dinner like no other, where animated characters come to life on the table and guide you through a multi-course meal. It was entertaining, educational, and of course, delicious—a perfect family night out.
What really sets Park Hyatt Siem Reap apart from other luxury hotels in the area is its commitment to offering authentic experiences that go beyond the usual tourist activities. The Signature Rice Noodle Experience was a hands-on culinary activity that let us try our hand at making traditional Cambodian rice noodles allowing us to visit a local market, see a family run rice noodle making business, and sample a traditional homemade meal. Other highlights included the magical candle release ceremony and artisanal pottery classes for the whole family.
Of course, no trip to Siem Reap is complete without a visit to Angkor Wat, and Park Hyatt can arrange a guided tour with private tuk tuk of this world-renowned site, ensuring you experience it in the best way possible.
If you’re looking for a luxurious, culturally immersive, and family-friendly place to stay in Siem Reap, we can’t recommend Park Hyatt Siem Reap enough.
