My S/S 13 picks from Steve Madden.
Available at their Central Central store
1/F Central Building, 3 Pedder Street, Hong Kong
Steve Madden is definitely one of my go to spots for affordable and trendy shoes, so I was very excited when they asked me to help host a fun fashion and shopping event with them at Central Central.   Central Central hosts several fashion shows each year showing their new season colletions and this time Steve Madden teamed up with Betsey Johnson for a fun dance party/fashion show.  I sipped champagne, sampled all the new styles, and caught up with favourite bloggers, Denise, JJ, Daniel, Sha, and Zoe.  I will post the shoes I chose to take home with me that night very soon!!

I’m wearing Stylein cardigan on sale at Christing C., Minkpink tank c/o Zooq, Plush socks c/o Shopbop, One Teaspoon shorts, Cheap Monday wedges.
Sandro Leopard print sneakers in image 3.
Sake trolley from Kyoto Joe (LKF) and dirty martinis from W Hong Kong.
Finally the weekend is here and I am allowed to spend an entire morning lounging around not really thinking about anything at all.  The unusually cold day is causing me to retreat further into hibernation mode, hoping to avoid all social interactions.  Sometimes it’s easier just to spend time with the boy while ignoring anything and anyone in between.  Currently taking any favourite cartoon recommendations.  We are addicted to watching animation while hungover.  The more vintage the better.

Anyone else excited it’s Friday?? I’m sure everyone in HK is looking forward to a very long weekend and Chinese New Year feasting.  I’m actually super excited to party with my cousins and celebrate Valentine’s Day with the boy very soon.  Wanted to share with you guys a fun photoshoot we did with the very cool fashion company, Electric Sekki.  They are always my favourite people to work with, and this time was double the fun since the boy got to join in.  Head over to their blog to see more images from our “style jam” session and a little interview too for their speical Valentine’s Day post!

MinkPink sweater from Electric Sekki, Dion Lee II skirt, Plush socks c/o Shopbop, Cheap Monday wedges.
Who doesn’t love a growling tiger hanging out on your sweater?  This MinkPink one is so comfy and perfect for the semi springish weather descending on HK.  I love perusing around Sheung Wan discovering new boutiques, cafes, and lunch spots.  It has an ever growing neighborhood feel appearing throughout the hidden back streets.   It was nice to finally have an afternoon of nothing.  More tomorrrow!

Maurie and Eve Garnet Kimono and Lapis Short.  Rupert Sanderson Rayon heels.

I took these fun, geometric Rupert Sanderson heels out to play last night.  They are so light and comfortable I can barely feel the height.  Apparently a deserted ferry port and stunning views can serve as an interesting impromptu photo shoot/hang out spot late at night.  Quiet moments are few and far between, so it’s fun to feel like you are the only ones that exist in the middle of a gigantic city.

One of my favourite seats in Sheung Wan.  (outside 208 Restaurant)
The perfect spring cocktail aptly named “blueberry smash.” (At Blue Bar in Four Seasons)

Walk along this sky walkway about five times a day.

An exceptional view from the terrace at Azure in LKF Hotel.
Crudite is my new obsession.  This one is delicious and from La Cantoche.
A Valentine’s surprise courtesy of Laduree.  Must visit their cute new boutique in Harbour City.
Will be returning for scented candles and rose tea macaroons very soon.

A Stylestalker dress I want to wear all the time and unusual summer weather on the 1st of February.

The boy looking insanely full after a yummy French feast at La Cantoche.

Me contemplating why it’s so acceptable for adults to drink out of juice boxes in HK.  I’m not complaining.

It’s been a busy few weeks.  We’ve been occupied eating a million meals a week, running around the city and trying to dress appropriately for the indecisive weather, planning upcoming trips and slotting in family time where we can, and staying up into the early hours to make time for just us. I’m looking forward to seeing a few of my favourite girls and a family feast in celebration of Chinese New Year and a quiet Valentine’s Day with the boy.  Keep up with all my random musings and activities by following on Instagram or anything else listed below.

MinkPink coat c/o Miss KL, Kova&T Oxy Leggings c/o Shopbop, American Apparel tee, Zara wedges.

I decided to fall back in love with leggings, which kinda seems so seven years ago.  It all started with a simple pair from H&M that served the purpose of to and from gym attire, and ended with this shiny Kova&T pair which happens to pair perfectly with a white tee and heels.  I am now perusing the internet for a pair of super skinny leather ones, but am still debating whether this decision is prudent seeing as HK’s humid summer is just around the corner.

Despite 20 degrees of perfect spring-like weather, the beach is more or less deserted in January.  The boy and I traispsed to South Bay yesterday to witness a sunset at one of our favourite spots and BBQ until nightfall.  We managed to capture plenty of images too.  Hazy HK skies makes for a lighting gold mine.  I can’t wait to return.

One Teaspoon kimono and shorts, Unif Hellraisers courtesy of Shopbop, Topshop beanie, and Celine sunglasses.

Mapping out my year one month at time makes you feel how little you can cram into what seems like forever.  Important trips and goals are set with high expectations and the rest seems to fall into place, searching for the right spot in my haphazard, wandering schedule.  The urge to be lazy, and want to experience so much at the same time always gets in the way of real accomplishment, so I’m trying to do more than just saying it out loud.  But plans are always a good first step.

Carin Wester Romy Jacket from Christing C., Zara silk Men’s shirt, One Teaspoon Bonitas, Givenchy Nightingale, and Zara wedges.

Testing out the undone menswear look on top with barely anything on the bottom.  I kinda wish this shirt was a few inches longer so I could have converted it into a full on dress.  Wore this last night to eat in a crazily over crowded hole in the wall and meet friends at another Soho bar.  Stayed up way past my bedtime and managed to slumber until 3pm this afternoon.  I feel like I have stay at home jetlag on the weekends.

Both of my fave HK DJ’s are playing tonight in HK!! DJ Angus Wong at W Hong Kong opening for Plastic Plates and Eve Speciall over at XXX for a crazy “surreal” party!  Come join us!
