It’s Fourth of July weekend and despite the fact that there’s minimal celebrations going on in this city, the weather is embracing sun, blue skies, and lighthearted moods. The boy and I are celebrating with plenty of yacht time, creating sangria recipes, grilling fresh seafood, and staying out of the shade as much as possible. Happy Independence Day to all those who are celebrating.

I’m pretty obsessed with denim jackets and shirts for Spring and Summer. It always just seems so easy to throw over a breezy outfit and create a romantic look. True Religion currently has an amazing selection and I chose this one from the men’s section because I was drawn to the oversized fit. Perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch and long walks with the boy.

Worn on the last day of MBFWA when I started to plummet into flu like symptons. I guess waking before noon for a few days straight confused my immune system to the point of failure. Totally worth every minute though. And now I’m on some kind of normal person sleeping schedule. Too random to last, but I feel productive for now 😉

I love late nights where I snuggle under two marshmallow white duvets, hiding from the blasting arctic air conditioning preferred by the boy. The slow hum of his sleeping breath playing on repeat while I sip searing hot tea and read in the dark. He glues himself to my side, habitually reaching for me every few hours. I get lost in movies, words and images falling into deep daydreams rather than sleep. My eyes tire just as the sun rises when I cuddle deeper into bed and involuntarily fall into a exhausted yet content slumber.

Blue Butcher Hong Kong

Just wanted to do a quick post and share with you guys what the boy and I got up to last night. I decided to wear Maurie&Eve print to feast at Blue Butcher. It was seriously yummy and we had so much fun sampling their homemade syrups, cocktails, and even absinthe shots!! I’m certain my body hates me after this weekend. There was more than one situation where one drink became one hundred, maybe not one hundred, but definitely too many. I am trying to make amends with plenty of green tea, a collagen mask, and a few cheesy movies, so let’s hope I am reset onto the right track. Indulgence is enjoyable, but not in 72 hour doses. I took these fun, geometric Rupert Sanderson heels out to play last night. They are so light and comfortable I can barely feel the height. Apparently a deserted ferry port and stunning views can serve as an interesting impromptu photo shoot/hang out spot late at night. Quiet moments are few and far between, so it’s fun to feel like you are the only ones that exist in the middle of a gigantic city.

The boy and went to check out Aqua Luna‘s “Cruising Cocktails” last week. Most of you have spotted the iconic boat with a red sail decorating the harbour view. Aqua Spirit and Armani Prive now offer a fun night where you can experience cocktails at both venues and a nostalgic ride on the iconic Aqua Luna.

Cruising Cocktails operate every Thursday and Friday from 10:30pm as a more romantic alternative to the Star Ferry. For $220 HKD you have the opportunity to experience a ride on Aqua Luna and two cocktails to at either Aqua Spirit (One Peking Road, Kowloon) or Armani Prive (Central). So perfect if you have visitors or with a date on a clear night.
